Losing a pet is like losing a member of the household.  I almost lost one of my 3 Dachshaunds(sp)the baby, his back went out and he lost all control of bladder and bowels and couldn't walk. After charging up 3 credit cards to the tune of $4000.00 he had surgery and has been walking and enjoying life with his mom and dad for almost 2 years now. My husband wasn't for it due to the cost, but now he is glad we were able to save him. We were lucky we had the ability to pay for it as some aren't as lucky.  I just couldn't put him down due to the cost.

There needs to be more Veterinary Schools that offer "free" surgery to animals whose owners can't afford to pay for needed surgery. Yet, he best vet school in Texas doesn't provide surgery pro-bono. There is something not right about that.  Even human surgeons provide surgery for free, I know because my Husband is a surgeon an has provided life saving surgery for free many times.

Well everyone i want to introduce my new two fellows , with Tobi passing recently i didn't want Chloe to be alone after all this time so i adopted two cats of my step cousins' that they had to remove for sake of a newborn's health and comfort. So Here are Daisy a 3 year old Siamese/mix and Confusae aka Confused/Onyx, a big ole alpha all black male cat of 3 years as well.

          Speaking of energy,  we have  a Jack Russell (10), she'll be 11 in August  and now a rough Collie  he just turned 1  and I swear these beasts could make coffee nervous

I just moved this past week, and more than half the reason, so the poor doggies could have a yard - we lucked out...it's HUGE, so some good summer fun coming too..plus there's a front deck for them to lounge out on too

we came from a basement apt. so the poor buggers only got walks, no they get outside time all they want

As for Dork, there's a reason she's called the c...well, you can guess.....she's an evil little witch who doesnt like anyone but her daddy lol. Ty has scars on his nose and Kaali almost lost an eye (she's partially blind)..she doesnt go after Puck though, she gets trampled in his enthusiasm lmao, and swatting him is like hitting a brick wall with merengues

I have lots of animals, my three dogs are in my profile pic, but here are two that I've never posted here!!!!  Strawberry is on the top, and Sweet Banana is on the bottom.  They are Bearded Dragons, Strawberry is rather large she weighs 1.4 pounds!  They are very sweet reptiles, they even know how to walk on a leash and are incredibly tame, they will let anyone hold them.

Love the names - not sure I could have those little dragons as pets.  What do they eat?

Never had one but I like reptiles.  Strawberry and Sweet Banana are funny, it seems that they don't mind climbing over each other.

What a lovely dog! I remember his pictures as a puppy, he's growing up so fast.

They eat pelleted food.  Lots of people are misinformed and feed the crickets and mealworms...  Crickets carry pinworms and mealworms can stop them up.  My boss breeds the Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, and I bring home a few of those for treats sometimes, because they do not carry parasites...  They can also have a pinkie every once in awhile.

Wow, your GSD is beautiful!!!!!!  I see lots of them at work, we take care of the police dogs in the neighboring counties as well as some of the secret service GSD's.  Very smart breed.

Love the Bearded Dragons! I love reptiles. And oh dr your shepherd is gorgeous! What a beautiful pic of that face Bo and Archie are 6 months old and they are a handful. Archie tears everything up and Bo goes along for the ride.

I love German Shepard's, we always had them while I was growing up! It's a beautiful dog.

just curious about y'all your birdies...cages or free to roam?

We keep the birdies in my daughter's room, so we can leave their cage door open and they can roam...  That way we can shut the bedroom door so the dogs don't eat them.  Their cage is huge, probably 8'x4'x4' and there's only 2 cockatiels in there.

Its a female Jack Russel 10 weeks old with pedigree name Mona Lisa's Smile I still dont know how to call her...
