A leading UK-based game studio and part of Germany's Gauselmann Group, Blueprint Gaming, has extended its development capabilities in 2021 by launching a highly-experienced software design team, Lucksome.
Thanks to a highly-experienced crew behind the industry’s freshest development studio, players can now expect innovative and new content solutions in the year ahead, spanning from social and land-based sectors to online markets.
Accent on Local Content
Blueprint’s multi-studio strategy is a very familiar concept on the market; many leading providers have formed a network of partner developers in recent years, which now represent a key factor for creating more content on a monthly level. Among such aggregators are Microgaming, Yggdrasil Gaming, Playtech, ORYX and so forth.
As reported, Lucksome is a team with more than 29 years of accumulated experience in games design, including online, land based and social casino divisions. The studio’s members have built their skills on a worldwide market, bringing strong ambitions into a new venture, ready to deliver localized games with the player in mind.
Innovative concepts are the main source of inspiration for Lucksome, whose team is based in Malta and led by Bryan Upton, a games designer, content strategy specialist and industry veteran. Upton worked at NetEnt and governed the supplier’s RNG product development unit. He is bringing more than 14 years of experience which dates back to early beginnings with IGT, OpenBet and Inspired.
Other former NetEnt and Yggdrasil employees Josefin Uppeke and Johan John are also on board, acting as head of creative and games design as well as senior product manager.
According to plan, Lucksome will be a wholly owned group enterprise that will benefit from the distribution and reliability of Blueprint’s powerful RGS platform. The team will also work closely with Simon Thompson, one of its creators, who successfully directs design for the entire brand.
Thompson commented the formation of studio by saying:
“The Lucksome team have a strong background within the casino sector and we’re delighted to welcome them to the Blueprint family. With another games studio joining our portfolio, our design capabilities have elevated to a new level which will provide a strong base for us to bring fresh and engaging content to the market.”
Other Game Styles Also in Plan
The latest iGaming studio has even announced a full-scale exploration of other styles of games, including new and innovative multi-game concepts in Q1. As expected, the first offerings designed by Lucksome should be distributed through Blueprint’s RGS platform within Q2 of 2021.
Aside from Games Warehouse, Livewire, Project, Reel Time Gaming (RTG) and Merkur Gaming, Lucksome’s contribution to Blueprint’s growing portfolio of slots will be an important move for the entire group, whose international footprint will provide operators with more quality, localized content and new trends in iGaming.
Bryan Upton, the newly appointed director at Lucksome, said:
“We’re very excited to unveil Lucksome to the industry and to be part of the Blueprint family. Our studio’s team is highly experienced in designing great games that resonate with players in multiple regions. Coupled with the group’s prolific games development technology, I’m confident we’ll bring even more exciting and innovative content to Blueprint’s already rich portfolio.”
Upton concluded:
“Building a presence in Malta is an important move for the group and shows the strong intent we have to work more closely with operators and broaden our reach.”
