The Merseyside Derby coming up today, the oldest derby in the history of soccer. These are two evenly matched teams here and I expect a draw.

Everton have started the season well and are tough to beat at home since they recorded only 1 defeat since January 2012.

Liverpool had a difficult start to the season but their form has improved gradually, mostly thanks to a sound defence.

What a cracking/crazy/wild/intense first half! First Liverpool went 2-0 up, then  Everton fought back and made it 2-2 and nearly pulled ahead before the break!

I hope they will cool down in the second half, the current result is good enough for me :)

Phew, it's over after a very intense second half. It ended 2-2 but my heart nearly stopped with under 1 minute left when Liverpool scored what seemed the winning goal. It was ruled out though, fortunately :)

Just a quick bet this time, a combo on two soccer games, one from the Italian league and one from the French league.

Quite unlucky today, I was just a minute away from winning...

Lyon beat Bastia 5-2, no problem there, and Napoli were leading Torino 1-0 but the visitors scored the equaliser with just a single minute left in the game. Oh well, that's soccer :)

Time for another soccer bet, a not very usual one this time. We'll have the North London derby today in the Premier League, Arsenal v Tottenham, and it's a game I can't miss as a Gunners fan. However, the team seems in very poor shape at the moment so I can't really bet on an Arsenal win.

So I chose to bet on the total goals scored, I think there will be at least 3 goals. And I've added a few more games to the betting slip to add a bit more to the potential winnings.

I admit that I'm lacking confidence and inspiration these days, no sporting event seems to inspire me to take a chance and bet. But that has to end somewhere, so I decided to place a bet today.

I bet on a relegation battle in the Italian soccer league, Genoa vs Chievo.

Chievo are only team who lost all away matches this season but two out of last 3 away matches were narrowly lost (0-1 and 1-2). They have a good record against Genoa, winning the last 4 matches against them. So I think a draw is very possible here as the two teams are tied at 12 points in the league table at the moment.

Uhh.... so close. It sucks when your favorite team lets you down.... I hate when that happens.

Arsenal have let me down time and again this season but today it's time for them to make up for it with an FA Cup win. They have to win this.

I'm  never ever betting on Arsenal again! The game ended 2-2 and what a thriller it was...

It was 0-0 at the break but Arsenal started the second half really well, squandered a whole bunch of chances and then, at the first real attack from Swansea, conceded...

Arsenal were 1-0 down with 10 minutes remaining but they turned it around in just three minutes, suddenly my bet was a winning one on 83 minutes.

But Swansea banged another one in after 3 minutes and it ended 2-2. So that's why I'm never betting on Arsenal again, too intense :)

Yeah, I was in disbelief when I saw how they handled that corner kick 4 minutes from time.

Betting on Spanish soccer today, combo bet on two games.

First there's a relegation battle between Espanyol and Celta. Espanyol are doing a bit better since new coach Aguirre took over, just one defeat in five games and that was to Barcelona, most teams do lose against Barcelona. Celta are weak away from home, 8 defeats out of nine games. So Espanyol should win.

The second match is farily obvious, Real Madrid to win at bottom team Osasuna.
