Back William Hill And Golden Knights Sign Multiyear Agreement

William Hill has struck another multiyear partnership in the sports betting industry, as Vegas-based NHL team, Golden Knights decides to include operator’s in-arena signage and updated odds during intermissions at T-Mobile Arena.

The betting giant from the UK has recently ventured into sports wagering in Rhode Island, as well as New Jersey. Additionally, the group pinned a record-breaking agreement with Eldorado Resorts, casino entertainment property in Reno, Nevada.

North America’s First

The partnership between William Hill and Golden Knights is first of its kind in North America, since no NHL franchise has ever signed a deal with a bookmaker. According to Kerry Bubolz, the club’s president, reflecting the company’s drive for innovative game features and unique fan experience is what matters the most; Bubolz is also delighted to lead its professional team into a new era of sports deals...

Equally important, the agreement follows recent developments in other leagues as well, such as the groundbreaking collaboration between MGM Resorts and NBA.

Frequent Requests

Since the Supreme Court’s decision to repeal the ban on sports betting within the country, companies such as William Hill have received multiple contract requests from major U.S. professional leagues. The company’s CEO, Joe Asher, said in a press release:

“William Hill is the leader in the U.S sports betting market and we are proud of the fact that this is the first sponsorship agreement between a sports book and an NHL team in the country.”

Asher added that the group is expecting further partnerships with other associations in the country, despite commissioner Gary Bettman’s frequent concerns and statements about legalized gambling and its repercussions at the arena.
