Near here is the Palacio de Gobierro (the Government Palace) built in 1881 and the Catedral de la Asuncion, which began construction in the 18th century, but was completed in the 20th. You can always wander around choosing your own favourite venues or ask casino and hotel staff to suggest places popular with locals and tourists.

Attractions/NightLife

When you’re looking for clubs, try Velvet, tending though to cater to an older crowd. There’s more dancing in Republic while in Korajudaz, there’s live music as well. For beer, pool and televised sports, try Biblioteca Bar and Pool. Hit the local museums to walk through history and discover regional culture. These include the Regional Museum of Sonora (in the University) and the Museum of Sonora. Sports fans should check out the Hector Espino Stadium. If you have the kids or just want to see the local flora and fauna there’s the Centro Ecologico with its 300 species of plants and 200 species of animals. For hiking, climbing and biking, head to the Cerro de la Campana Mountain. If you’re interested in religious architectures, try the Catedral de la Asuncion. When you're done touring the city, head back to the hotel and enjoy drinks poolside.
