It's a very interesting draw for Nadal in Madrid, not easy. I hope that both he and Kyrgios will win their matches and then meet in the third round. That should be a great match, and good test for Nadal. Players said that the conditions were very fast for clay.

I don't know what to expect from Novak. I guess big news from last week is that he parted with the entire team. He works now with his younger brother Marko, until he finds a new coach. He said he's not in a hurry. We'll see how this is going to work.

So what a match ahead, I guess this would answer if Djokovic has any weapons against Nadal on clay and if there's improvement in his game after the change in coaching personnel, the only advantage for Nole is that he had pass trough the previos round without even sweat... of course that has a negative sides too.

Both semifinals will be entertaining.

I think that the Nadal is the favorite. Novak does have a mental edge over Nadal; the score in their last 12 matches is 11-1 for Novak, and that will be tough for Nadal to overcome. But is Novak competitive enough at this moment to make it difficult for Nadal? I think that this match is far more important for Nadal, he simply has to win.

And the second semifinal will be great as well. Thiem is one of my faves :) but Cuevas is surely a top 10 player on clay. Both were tested in the previous rounds so it will be a good match I think.

Yes I think you're right about Djokovic mental dominance in the last years Markotik, the record against a certain player always tells the story but in this moment of time when Djokovic doesn't look like himself for about a year and on clay Nadal should be considered as a clear favourite I think, I just want to see improvement in a Djokovic's game.

We all thought Nadal has the hugest mental edge (record) on earth  against Federer and look what happened this season, In the end sometime all is just about the current form.

Non disrespectful to the other semi but I think this will draw all the attention ...of the average fan.

And that's it. Nole lost this semi-final against Nadal like I expected. He looked like himself in this match just on the moments, but that is not enough to beat Nadal on a clay.

Nadal dominated Djokovic and will face Thiem in the final, might be a tough match for Rafa.
