So, Nadal should win another title in Monte Carlo now that Djokovic is out as well! I doubt that any of the other three players in the semi-finals could beat Nadal on clay.

I'm wondering who suppose to be considered as a Roland Garros favourite now, obviously Nadal is still pretty much the king on clay but I don't think he's near to his old form probably plus the fact that Federer prevail over him lately makes me wondering...non Murray or Djokovic looks to be nowhere near to their best for months now so...what you guys thinking?

:D Of course, I always have a few assumptions! I just need to be a little bit encouraged to spill it out. :D

If he manages to stay healthy, for me Nadal is a clear favorite to win the RG. I said that even before the AO final. Yes, he's form is not as good as it used to be, but he's playing good enough for clay, and he is simply the best clay-court player ever and he doesn't have to be at his best to win, especially now when Murray and Djokovic are nowhere near their best.

Murray will probably improve his form before RG, but he won't be able to beat Nadal.

Djokovic..... now after one year, I will know he takes tennis seriously again ONLY when he finds a new coach. Regardless of how good you are, you need a guidance and objective view on what's going on around you. He might play well occasionally, but he's far from beating Nadal in the best of five match at RG.

Federer, at first I thought he might challenge Nadal this year, but then I heard that he was basically skipping the clay-court season. It will be impossible for him to beat Nadal. You need matches, routine, and confidence on clay to beat him, and Federer won't have it. He's obviously getting ready for Wimbledon.

I don't know maybe Wawrinka :D could beat him, if he gets into the Stanimal mode.

It will be very tough because on clay, it's tough for big servers to have their day, and psychologically you need something special to beat Nadal at RG, and I'm not sure who has it.

Yes, if Federer had a proper clay season, under the circumstances, he would be quite capable of beating Nadal, but just to show up at RG with no match play on clay... hmm, I don't know, I guess I can't even imagine how confident Federer is.

Of course, you never know, that's why sports are so entertaining. :) But, Nadal is healthy, his confidence is growing....  it's RG, it's clay,  perhaps some things are not so unpredictable.
