One of leading iGaming solutions brands, Playtech, has confirmed their expansion into Portugal's regulated gambling market. This is achieved through signing of a long-term partnership agreement with local operator, Solverde Group.
Under the terms of the signed contract, online gambling hub, CasinoSolverde.pt, will gain Playtech's IMS player management platform.
Games With Tools
IMS will function as the casino's core platform...
...which will allow it to launch a suite of tailored Playtech games while also benefiting from tools driven by data and featured capabilities on the platform.
CasinoSolverde was launched in 2017 and is one of the most recent additions to Solverde Group's portfolio which also consists of four hotels and five land-based casino venues in Portugal.
The brand's board member, Manuel Silva Carvalho, said of this deal:
“This is an exciting moment for CasinoSolverde.pt as we further develop the casino experience we offer to our customers. We are pleased to partner with Playtech to bring its industry leading casino offering to the Portuguese audience and are confident it will be a driver of growth for both our businesses in Portugal.”
Infrastructure of Choice
Playtech's Chief Operating Officer, Shimon Akad, added:
“We are pleased to see Playtech’s technology continuing to serve as the infrastructure of choice in competitive and complex regulated markets. This deal highlights the continued strength of our data driven platform to offer integrated solutions to operators and we hope to announce further successes in regulated markets soon.”
Portugal's Way is Up
Serviço Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal, national gambling regulator, has revealed that the iGaming market in this country set a new revenue record in Q2.
In total, licensed operators have generated a total of $53.5 million in three months leading to June 30th, which outshines previous quarterly record of $51.8 million from the period of January 1st – March 31st.
Multitude of Operators Entering the Market
Solverde has already gained one important brand name – iSoftBet…
...that has joined the casino after signing a deal regarding the distribution of their software and tools content. Romanian provider will deliver their entire portfolio of over 150 slots and table games on Portuguese market as well as some 3000 games more through their Game Aggregation Platform.
Likewise:
SYNOT games has continued its European expansion after acquiring Portuguese and Danish licenses.
Another iGaming giant, Red Rake Gaming, has also entered Portugal's regulated market by signing a deal with Casino Portugal.
“Our partnership with Casino Portugal is an exciting and important collaboration as this will continue to expand our reach in the Portuguese market where we have seen some very encouraging results from our games,” said Nick Barr, Red Rake's Malta operations Managing Director.
