Over the past two days, iGaming provider, SYNOT Games, managed to obtain two new licenses, which enable the company to expand across newly regulated markets.
By getting the licenses for providing its services, the supplier is entering the markets of Portugal and Denmark.
With headquarters in Malta, the brand is conducting its operation by the rules of the local Gaming Authority…
… as well as from the competent regulators of a number of markets across Europe, including Spain, Italy, the UK, and Sweden.
At the beginning of the week, on its official website, it was announced a license was acquired by the Danish regulator, and it’s ready to present its releases to Scandinavian players through existing and new operators. The following day, SYNOT revealed that its products and services will be available to Portuguese gambling markets as well.
Speaking of the provider’s releases…
… its games portfolio includes over 40 games which are available in 24 languages and across more than 70 casinos.
News about the brand’s Danish and Portuguese expansions came shortly after the company announced its plan to extend its footprint in certain European markets…
… with the recent integration of its content into the operations of online gambling brands, NetBet and 777. This integration was powered by iSoftBet’s Game Aggregation Platform.
Subsequent phases of the partnership between the provider and the operators would see SYNOT’s titles go live in Romania, Spain, and other regulated markets with the two brands.
Upcoming Entry to the Danish Market
In the words of SYNOT CEO, Ivan Kodaj, the brand is very excited for fulfilling all necessary terms to become a legitimate part of the Danish gaming society:
“We’re happy to strengthen our market position in Scandinavia. We see great potential on the soaring Danish market and are excited to add another flag on our success map.”
It isn’t surprising considering that the country’s online gambling market is thriving. As last December’s figures reveal, a new record in revenue has been set in the third quarter of 2018.
The Danish Gambling Act regulating the gambling market of Denmark and allows operators to qualify for a license.
Portugal is Next on SYNOT’s Conquering Route
Just a day after the announcement that the brand received a license of Danish regulators, the news breaks out that SYNOT’s Portuguese expansion was also successful.
By acquiring this license, the provider will be extending its geographical footprint further across South European markets in the coming weeks and months.
“Portugal is another significant destination for SYNOT Games and marks our entry to the Iberian Peninsula. The certification underlines our commitment to further focus on expansion in regulated markets. We believe that our diverse portfolio will prove to be highly popular among Portuguese players,” said Kodaj.
The nation’s regulated gambling market soared to record highs during the first quarter of the year…
… according to latest revenue figures generated since the first license under its new law was issued in May 2016.
Revenue of €47.3 million during the three months to March 31 was generated by locally licensed operators marking the best quarter for the nation’s online gambling market since it has gone live.
