Internationally famous and acclaimed casino aggregator, Playtech, has developed, in association with Featurespace, an advanced fraud detection system. It has already been integrated into the provider’s Information Management System (IMS) to prevent future fraudulent activities.
Powered by a machine-learning tool that monitors unwanted player behavior, the fraud detection solution works in real-time, it is adaptive and automatically tuned to evaluate potential risks. While flagging odd player actions, the machine simultaneously calculates and recognizes predictive patterns that are identified as irregular gameplay.
Chief operating officer at Playtech, Shimon Akad, confirmed the company’s latest product achievements and said that safe play always comes first! All partner casinos now have much better insight into their players’ actions, which enhances customer engagement and general protection.
Leading industry technologies and procedures demand a higher level of protection and its partnership with Featurespace has enabled a further increase of quality products and premium offerings at Playtech. Enhanced protection system operates in actual timespan and it is based on machine learning algorithms – added chief executive at FS, Martina King.
Their state-of-the-art ARIC platform delivers market-leading solutions and constantly evaluates potential fraud attempts. Aside from innovative omni-channel offerings and various content solutions, the supplier also specializes in major gaming categories, including poker, sports, casino and bingo.
Playtech’s slots portfolio includes several sequels to smash hits, Age of the Gods, Buffalo Blitz, Top Gun, Space Invaders, Green Lantern, Man of Steel and others. Available across all channels, platforms and smart devices, the company’s assortment of 600+ premium casino products delivers superior gaming experience to players and operators worldwide.

I want to know some details how this program can detect the player's fraud, but it is a secret. I guess that they will apply this to certain games which have a kind of systematic play. As other's worries, I hope that this new method would not be used against big winning players, who are hated by casinos... :)

OK, if casinos can attach devices or install these fraud detection systems, how would they like it, or would they like it, for players to install anti casino fraud equipment on our PC's or other devices. In my opinion, it is much more difficult for, a rare occurrence for players to cheat or deceive a casino, than it is for casinos to defraud players. It just sounds like another scheme for casinos to use when players start winning big at their casinos, so they won't have to pay them. What this anti fraud component finds, might just be some individual tick of this particular person, which is not fraudulent behavior at all, but it gives the casino an 'OUT,' when the player hits a big payout or jackpot. We have all seen casinos that seem to get angry anytime a player gets really lucky. It doesn't happen very often, but some casinos don't want it to happen at all. I would give second thoughts to playing where casinos or game providers install such equipment. I think in some cases it sends a bad connotation about casinos and many players might just stay away.....

More power to Playtech for coming up with this solution - anyone that does has my full support. However, Vanenhox is right - players are quite often the victims of some casinos'shady actions and they need to be protected as well.

I suppose the check and balance on the casino or the fraud detector if you want to call it that would be player organizations and websites like LCB. I have not heard of any player organizations just yet but their are a lot of sites like LCB and hopefully they are enough to protect the interests of the player.

Although this is quite the feat for Playtech, it will be a pity personally as country restrictions prevent me from ever playing their slots. However, this could be the first of a new wave for the casino industry as a whole... the question still remains though - if the casinos are so adamant on fraud behaviour, who’s there...

However, this could be the first of a new wave for the casino industry as a whole... the question still remains though - if the casinos are so adamant on fraud behaviour, who’s there to make sure the casino themselves do it right as well...

Sometimes it seems like fraud is in the eye of the beholder or the small print of the terms and conditions. For example, I remember that I never deposited at Club Gold Casino, because they defined using the auto play feature on slots as bonus abuse. They actually denied withdrawals to players who used the auto play feature, which is an integral part of playtech software. This was back when Club Gold was a playtech casino. A concrete example or two of what the brand defines as fraud that the new AI scanner looks for would have been a good addition to this article.
