As Google Chrome continues to warn us ahead of Flash Player’s shutdown after December 2020, certain HTML5-based content developers, like Quickspin, have started to discontinue a specific number of slots that run on this deprecated computer software for watching multimedia.
Flash Player will no longer be supported after 2020, since Adobe formally announced that its long-running lightweight browser plug-in would cease to be developed and maintained as of December 31. Due to the application’s shutdown by the end of this year, Google decided it’s time to phase it out of Chrome, the world’s smartest and fastest internet browser.
Good Bye, Musketeers
Despite the official announcement about pulling out the plug, there are still many Flash-based casinos and games on the market. But let’s face it, Flash technology is slowly and undoubtedly sinking into oblivion. That is why many leading studios rush to develop future HTML5 favorites by “refurbishing their massive portfolios” and welcoming the mobile and social gaming era to their workshops.
Quickspin is among the first providers to do something about it, as it already published a list of old Flash titles that will be discontinued as of 31st of December 2020. Since users will no longer have any ability to enable or run Flash, the developer wanted to make both operators and customers aware of the fact that the soon-to-be-retired Flash titles are NOT to be included in any promotion campaigns.
Also, all thumbnails must be taken down from the lobby, as there will no longer be any available server support for these products. The good news is, however, that the most of Quickspin’s popular video slots have already been converted into HTML5. As reported, the company is currently working on converting Sinbad into HTML5 that ought to be released during 2021 on the new proprietary Quickspin platform only.
However, the games that will be discontinued and made unavailable are Three Musketeers, an adventure with comical twist, innovative gameplay and massive multiplier wilds, launched in January 2015, Titan Thunder, Epic Journey, Jewel Blast, Royal Frog, Sugar Trail and Firestorm.
Hidden Valley already has an HTML5 version, while Sinbad HTML5 version will be available in 2021.
What’s New in 2021
As a result of Flash discontinuation and Quickspin’s continued dedication to expanding its universe with new releases, the award-winning studio from Sweden is getting ready to present two new slots right at the beginning of 2021. Scheduled for launch on 12 January, Loco the Monkey brings a “junglelicious” adventure in a green haven full of exotic plants and clean air, including yummy pineapples, bananas, mangos, and blueberries. Placing four or more wild symbols on the reels will set off More Monkey! Respins, while three bonus scatter images initiate Monkey Frenzy! extra spins, a bonus with 10 complimentary rounds.
The second game, Dinosaur Rage, is expected on 9 February, featuring Anna the Explorer who is back from The Ark of Mystery to battle a bunch of enraged dinosaurs on a lost island with 1,024 way to wins. There is a chance to win up to 17,000x total bet here and, according to the producer, this slot expands its range of high maximum exposure games. Both releases are developed exclusively in HTML5.
On 30 November, Quickspin sparked the spirit of Christmas by launching a remake of Big Bad Wolf.

A lot of games are moving to HTML5 and not just casino games. Many games on Facebook and other developer-enabled social platforms are affected by this issue. And not only for Chrome, the problem is much bigger, but I'm happy with the flash removal. I wish Quickspin would transfer his best titles quickly.

Boo this is devastating news. I love quickspin games and especially jewel blast. I will miss these games dearly. This flash discontinuation is going to really mess a lot of things up I think. I mean, what's going to happen to flash casinos ?

I do not understand what people are supposed to do when flash is discontinued. Is there another program that they're going to use? I guess we'll see

Wow this is a huge step for quickspin I wasn’t expecting they would shut down these titles maybe do a remake in html5... anyhow they have like a bunch of new games and it’s time to distance ourselves from flash. The market is already supersaturated with, in 2020 alone there were more than 50 slots coming out each week......
