Danish Gambling Authority ban includes all forms of advertising including sponsorships
The latest move of the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA) or SKAT against unlicensed operators involves a ban on advertising by such operators.
On its website, the authority warns those who ignore the ban that they will face stiff fines, explaining its view of advertising as "any form of advertising or other dissemination of information on a gambling providers business, including the game provider's website, contact details and offerings in print, digital or television media formats.
“Sponsorships in any form are also covered by the general rules and regulations of advertising.”
