Yggdrasil, Swedish gaming group and manufacturer of premium online slots such as Vikings Go Berzerk, Beauty and the Beast and Rainbow Ryan has signed an agreement with The Danish Gaming Authority about entering the country’s online market. The provider has also struck a supply deal with Vera&John and InterCasino.
Newly signed arrangements guarantee full access of the established gaming platform, as well as its backend tools – in-game engine gizmo BOOSTTM and social sharing gadget, BRAGTM. The industry’s most respected and acclaimed software developer will offer its full portfolio, including the recently published Pumpkin Smash and upcoming blockbuster release, Reptoids.
Fredrik Elmqvist, the company’s CEO, emphasized its commitment to growth and expansion in Europe's regulated markets. Denmark belongs to key Nordic territories, thanks to a large number of customers with strong interest in operators with first-class casino content.
Yggdrasil’s flexible platform welcomes regulatory developments in Denmark, as its collection of slots provides a strong position for operators who need to adapt to the industry’s latest requirements. Most of their titles are enjoyed by players across all of Europe, which ensures growth and additional promotional opportunities.
The gaming group from Stockholm has won multiple awards in 2016 and 2017 and it is licensed by a number of countries, including Great Britain and Malta. Its commitment to promote the industry’s best practices, safe integrity of games and gaming devices, makes it a leading provider of casino games, both for desktop and mobile.
The Jackpotjoy Group deal will position the software provider even further and instigate its impressive revenue growth. The second quarter showed an increase in rates by 103 percent, as well as the number of player transactions, which skyrocketed by 84 percent, reaching 801 million euros. The brand also signed 14 new license agreements with new operators and achieved 56 percent of total gross game win from mobile gaming.

At first I thought this was about a new casino with a Danish licence, but then I understood that it is a games software maker that has gotten permission to market its games in Denmark. The Danish market has expanded so much since 2012 when they made the new law regarding licensing in Denmark. And it keeps on growing. Sometimes I think that there must be a lot of people in Denmark who are very private about their online gaming activity. The television has tons of commercials for online gambling everyday, but none of the people in my social circle ever speak of personal experiences with gambling or of people they know who know others who do it. I never hear a peep about it in terms of personal experiences or word of mouth about people I know who know others who are involved. Danes can be very private I suppose.
