Another increase noted in October
Macau’s reputation as a gambling mecca is continuously justified – this time by the figures in October’s report issued by Macau's Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau.
The report shows that October revenues continued the constant growth, this time by 50 %, reaching 18.87 billion patacas ($2.36 billion). This new record exceeded the previous one achieved in May, when the revenues amounted to 17.1 billion patacas.
The Bureau specified that in the first 10 months of 2010, the total amount of gambling revenues was 152.11 billion patacas, which compared to the same period in 2009 represents an increase of 59% (Jan-Oct 2009: 95.81 billion patacas).
