Casino King Chihuahua

Chihuahua is the capital of the Mexican state of the same name. They have a population of just over 825,000. While perhaps not the usual tourist stomping ground, there are a few things to do while here. Grab a basic understanding of the area by checking out the local museums which have displays honouring Pancho Villa and local history and culture. The Federal Palace of Chihuahua has been converted into a modern art museum, and was once where Hidalgo was imprisoned. Other museums include the Museum of the Revolution, the Museum of Religious Art, or the Museum of Contemporary Art Casa Redonda. The Temple of San Francisco is the original burial place of Miguel Hidalgo. Other religious structures include the Chihuahua Cathedral and the Church of Santa Rita. Don't forget to try some of the restaurants in the city to sample authentic Mexican cuisine Chihuahua-style (ask about the norteno dishes). For authentic Mexican cuisine, there’s La Casa de los Milagros, also with live music evenings, Wednesday through Sunday. For greasy-spoon diner fare, most notably breakfast, try Mi Café. Mexican-European fusion is dished up in Botero’s and menu items include seafood, pasta and steaks. For a more formal environment, try La Casona. Vegetarians mat opt for Nutry Vida.

There’s night life to be found in the city. For dancing head to La Roca. For live music there’s Cubo Bar Alive and Cerveceria. Hit up one of the local museums for some history and culture. Try Museum of the Revolution (former home of Pancho Villa), the Museum of Religious Art, or the Museum of Contemporary Art Casa Redonda. Religious sites include the Chihuahua Cathedral, the Temple of San Francisco and the Church of Santa Rita.
