Rovers sit just outside the relegation zone on goal difference
Steve Kean has told his Blackburn Rovers players it is time they proved they belong in the Premier League - starting with fellow strugglers Wolves on Saturday. With just two points separating the bottom five, the pair clash at Molineux knowing that a win would go a long way to condemning the other to the drop.
And with the visit of Sunderland before a trip to relegation rivals Bolton Wanderers, Kean has labelled these games as ones his side must win if they are to stay in the top-flight.He said: "I would agree that we look at the fixtures coming up now and think it's about time that we put some points on the board.
"If we play like we did in the second half, there's no reason why we shouldn't. If we play like we did in the first half then we are going to struggle. That's just the facts."It is a good month for us in terms of the fixtures we have but we can't just put the month on paper we have to go and put the points there.
"You can look at different spells in the calendar and you can look at the last five away games and say that they are horrible fixtures. But we managed to get five points from those five away games."The last four home games we've lost one but the one that we did lose - against Newcastle - I thought we were good."
