  • Event: Belgium vs France, Soccer Friendly

    Bet: Both teams to score

    Odds: 2.00

    Sportsbook: William Hill

    Stake: 8/10

    Projected profits: 8.00

This is one of the most interesting matches from today's batch of international friendlies, Belgium represent one of the best teams in the world at the moment while France are trying to create a squad that could bring them back to former glory. Fact is Belgium hasn't won against France since 1974, so they will be eager to break that spell. France have conceded in each of their last five away games while Belgium have a scoring ratio of two goals per game in their last five matches. France will be determined to win as well since they are coming from three consecutive matches without a win.

  • Wrong, it was a bore 0-0 draw.

  • Event: Feliciano Lopez vs Juan Martin Del Potro, ATP Cincinnati

    Bet: Over 21.5 games

    Odds: 1.73

    Sportsbook: Paddy Power

    Stake: 10/10

    Projected profits: 7.30

Del Potro is the favourite here but Lopez already won against the odds in this tournament, against Nishikori. The last time these two met they produced a thrilling three-setter, all sets ended with tie breaks. I expect a close match as Del Potro's last six matches were all over 21 games.

  • The prediction was correct, Del Potro won 6-4 1-6 6-4.

  • goodluck!!  :D

  • Event: Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal, ATP Cincinnati

    Bet: Nadal 2-0

    Odds: 1.75

    Sportsbook: Bet Victor

    Stake: 10/10

    Projected profits: 7.50

Nadal is in superb shape, he's playing extremely well and as far as I can tell nobody could beat him at this point except maybe Djokovic or Murray. Federer is far from what he used to be in the good old days, he barely managed to beat Haas yesterday. Nadal will win in straight sets, that's what I think.

  • Wrong, Nadal did win but in three sets, much more difficult against Federer than I had expected.

  • Event: Guillaume Rufin vs Denis Istomin, ATP Winston Salem

    Bet: Istomin 2-0

    Odds: 2.10

    Sportsbook: Paddy Power

    Stake: 7/10

    Projected profits: 7.70

Rufin is coming here after playing a string of challengers on clay, his favourite surface, and has a negative record on hard this season. Istomin on the other hand has played in all the North American hard court tournaments and even managed a few good matches, like the win against Tipsarevic in Montreal. He feels great on hard courts and I think he will win this match in straight sets.

  • Wrong, Rufin produced the upset and won in three sets.

  • Event: Fernando Verdasco vs Tim Smyczek, ATP Winston Salem

    Bet: Smyczek +1.5 sets

    Odds: 1.80

    Sportsbook: bet-at-home

    Stake: 9/10

    Projected profits: 7.20

Verdasco is the clear favourite here thanks to his better ranking but there are several things against him in this match. First, he has a negative record on hard courts this year, just three wins out of ten matches, and he hasn't played on such courts since march. Secondly, he has already faced Smyczek once this year and he lost in straight sets in San Jose in February. Smyczek is doing well on the North American hard courts, took a set off Tommy Haas in Washington, so I think he can take at least a set against Verdasco today.

    3.6/ 5

  • The prediction was correct, Smyczek took the first set 6-3 but then lost the following two.

  • Event: Yen-Hsun Lu vs Steve Johnson, ATP Winston Salem

    Bet: Johnson to win

    Odds: 1.95

    Sportsbook: 888sport

    Stake: 8/10

    Projected profits: 7.60

Lu is a slight favourite according to most of the bookmakers thanks to his better ranking but as far as form is concerned Johnson seems to have a solid advantage. The American player is coming from five consecutive wins, all in this tournament as he had to make his way through qualifying. Yesterday he produced the biggest upset of the second round by knocking out second seed Seppi. Moreover, the last meeting between him and Lu was last week in Cincinnati and Johnson won in straight sets. I believe he can do it again today.

  • Wrong, Lu won in straight sets.

  • Event: Kuban Krasnodar vs Feyenoord, Europa League

    Bet: Both teams to score

    Odds: 2.04

    Sportsbook: William Hill

    Stake: 7/10

    Projected profits: 7.28

This is one of the most interesting and balanced matches in today's Europa League playoff round. Both Kuban and Feyenoord have very good players in their ranks and both have the motivation to succeed here, for different reasons though. Playing in Europe is something new for Kuban, so the enthusiasm and will to do well on their first appearance will surely motivate them. Feyenoord on the other hand are going through a terrible start to the season, losing all three league matches so far. The Dutch side surely has the quality to make amends though, starting tonight.

  • Kuban won 1-0, wrong prediction.

  • Event: Gael Monfils vs Aleksandr Dolgopolov, ATP Winston Salem

    Bet: Over 22.5 games

    Odds: 1.92

    Sportsbook: 888sport

    Stake: 8/10

    Projected profits: 7.36

This should be a spectacular match between two spectacular but often inconsistent players. Both are enjoyable to watch on the tennis court, they try surprising shots on a regular basis but they also miss some simple shots quite often. They have met just once before, at this year's Australian Open, and Monfils won in four sets (two tie-breaks). I can't see a simple win here for either of the two.

  • This one was very close, off by just one game as Monfils won 7-6 6-3...

  • Event: Fernando Verdasco vs Ivan Dodig, US Open

    Bet: Verdasco -2.5 games

    Odds: 1.87

    Sportsbook: Pinnacle Sports

    Stake: 9/10

    Projected profits: 7.83

This is one of the most interesting matches in the first day at the US Open, Verdasco has shown good form lately, in fact he's been in pretty good shape since Wimbledon. Dodig on the other hand seems up and down, can play very well on occasions but can also be terrible on other days. The stakes are high for Verdasco here, he will be determined to go through and I think he also has the skills to do so. It will be a pretty close match though, but Verdasco should be able to win by three games or more.

  • Finally the US Open starts! Thanx for great tips Johnny!

  • My favorite Grand Slam; hoping for some good matches.

  • Got it wrong, Dodig defeated Verdasco in five sets!

  • Event: Legia (Pol) - Steaua Bucuresti (Rou), UEFA Champions League playoff

    Bet: Steaua to qualify

    Odds: 2.20

    Sportsbook: William Hill

    Stake: 6/10

    Projected profits: 7.20

The Polish champions meet the Romanian champions tonight in a match that is crucial for both sides because who qualifies gets a big chunk of Champions League money, around 20 million euro depending on their performance in the group stage. Legia secured a 1-1 draw last week in Bucharest, they were quite lucky to do so as Steaua squandered a few great chances. Legia are now the favourites to qualify because they play the second leg at home. But I don't think they will because of two reasons: Steaua are better, no doubt about that, and they have scored in every single away game they had this season. In fact, they seem to be playing better away than at home. I'm going to bet on this myself.

  • Nice to have some info on football games especially cl games. Think its a good chance that Steaua wins but still Legia played a good game. I think there around equal. I don't bet on this one. save my money for the weekend. Do place often bets on football games? Like to hear more about it..

Too bad you didn't take this, the match ended 2-2 and you would have had a winning bet. Steaua are better by the way, they should have scored at least 5 tonight.

As for your question, I do offer mostly football and tennis tips.

  • Event: Real Sociedad vs Lyon, UEFA Champions League playoff

    Bet: Real Sociedad to win

    Odds: 2.00

    Sportsbook: Bet Victor

    Stake: 8/10

    Projected profits: 8.00

Real Sociedad pulled off a big result last week when they beat Lyon 2-0 in France thus getting a solid advantage for tonight's second leg. Sociedad are extremely strong at home, last season they only lost twice at their own stadium and managed to beat mighty Barcelona and snatch a draw against Real Madrid. Lyon will have to attack, it's their only chance, but that will leave them exposed to the tremendous speed and skill of the Real Sociedad attackers, especially Griezmann. I think Real Sociedad will win this one.

  • Thanks for the reply Jhonny! Yes to bad I din't take the bad. Looking forward to hear more betting tips.

  • Today's prediction was also correct, Real Sociedad won 2-0.

  • Event: Spartak Moscow vs St Gallen, UEFA Europa League playoff

Bet: Spartak Moscow & Over 2.5 goals

    Odds: 2.05

    Sportsbook: Bet365

    Stake: 7/10

    Projected profits: 7.35

Spartak Moscow are the clear favourites to qualify, they snatched a 1-1 draw in Switzerland in the first leg and now they just have to wrap things up at home. It shouldn't be very easy though as St Gallen could well score in Moscow. Fact is both sides have shown problems in defence so far this season, both have conceded at least one goal in three out of their last five games. I expect at least three goals here and Spartak Moscow to win, hence the result & total goals bet suggestion.

  • Wrong prediction this time, the number of goals was OK, ended 4-2, but it was St Gallen who won! Big upset there.

  • Event: Stanislas Wawrinka vs Ivo Karlovic, US Open

    Bet: Wawrinka -3.5 games

    Odds: 1.75

    Sportsbook: Pinnacle Sports

    Stake: 10/10

    Projected profits: 7.50

Wawrinka has been inconsistent lately and hasn't been able to show the kind of form that gave him a few great wins in the first part of the season. But he played well against Stepanek in the previous round so that might be a good sign, he surely is determined to have a good US Open. Karlovic on the other hand had all sorts of trouble with Blake in the previous round, barely won in five sets. Considering the huge difference between Wawrinka and Blake, especially on return, I think the Swiss player will provide a solid performance and a fairly comfortable win.

  • The prediction was correct, Wawrinka won 7-5 7-6 6-4.

  • Event: Janko Tipsarevic vs David Ferrer, US Open

    Bet: Over 38.5 games

    Odds: 1.97

    Sportsbook: Pinnacle Sports

    Stake: 8/10

    Projected profits: 7.76

Tipsarevic had a disappointing season so far but he seems in reasonable shape at the US Open, manged to advance to the third round and is a good achievement considering his terrible form in the first half of the season. Ferrer had a few problems in the previous rounds, dropped a set against Kukushkin and Bautista, not a good sign. These two have met last year at the US Open and Ferrer won in five sets. I expect a long match again and this time Tipsarevic might even have a good chance of winning it.

  • The prediction was correct, Ferrer won 7-6 3-6 7-5 7-6, a total of 47 games.

  • Event: Mikhail Youzhny vs Lleyton Hewitt, US Open

    Bet: Over 39.5 games

    Odds: 1.81

    Sportsbook: Pinnacle Sports

    Stake: 9/10

    Projected profits: 7.29

Both players are overachievers in this tournament, Youzhny defeated Haas while Hewitt produced the upset against Del Potro. It will be a fierce match between two experienced players, Youzhny is the favourite but Hewitt can surely cause more than a few problems as he has already proven against Del Potro. Four of the last meetings between these two needed a decisive set and I think we'll see at least four sets today as well.

  • The prediction was correct, Youzhny won in five sets.

  • Event: Richard Gasquet vs David Ferrer, US Open

    Bet: Over 38.5 games

    Odds: 1.92

    Sportsbook: Pinnacle Sports

    Stake: 8/10

    Projected profits: 7.36

Ferrer defeated Gasquet last year at the US Open in straight sets, a fairly one-sided affair back then. But things seem to have changed this year, Ferrer isn't as good as he was last year and dropped a set in each of the previous three rounds against much weaker opponents than Gasquet. The Frenchman on the other hand is having a great year, climbed to 9th in the world ranking and did very well to go so far at the US Open. I think Gasquet will take at least a set here.

  • The prediction was correct, Gasquet won in five sets. (43 games total)

  • Event: Andy Murray vs Stanislas Wawrinka, US Open

    Bet: Wawrinka +5.5 games

    Odds: 1.91

    Sportsbook: Ladbrokes

    Stake: 8/10

    Projected profits: 7.28

Defending champion Andy Murray will face a very difficult test today against Wawrinka, a test that he might well fail. Wawrinka is brimming with confidence after enjoying a superb run at the US Open, beating Tomas Berdych in the process. Murray hasn't shown the form that brought him the title last year, dropped sets against Mayer and Istomin, surely not a good sign. The last meeting between the two was won by Wawrinka in straight sets, 6-1 6-2, but that was on clay at Monte Carlo. The two have also met at the US Open in 2010, Wawrinka won that one as well. I expect a close match and maybe even a win for Wawrinka, but in any case the +5.5 Asian Handicap should be covered.

  • The prediction was correct but far beyond my expectations, Wawrinka demolished Murray in straight sets!

  • Event: Scotland vs Belgium, World Cup Qualifier

    Bet: Belgium to win

    Odds: 1.78

    Sportsbook: Pinnacle Sports

    Stake: 10/10

    Projected profits: 7.80

Belgium are top of the group but Croatia are threatening their lead, so they need a win at Scotland to make almost sure of going to the World Cup. Scotland had poor results in this group, 1 win, 2 draws and 4 defeats, and they are out of the qualification race. There is a big difference in quality between these two teams, Belgium have a bunch of world class players while Scotland, despite their best efforts, lack the quality players. Considering that difference in class and the high stakes for Belgium I think that Fellaini and company will win this one.

  • The prediction was correct, Belgium won 2-0.

  • Event: Novak Djokovic vs Rafael Nadal, US Open

    Bet: Over 41.5 games

    Odds: 1.87

    Sportsbook: Bet Victor

    Stake: 9/10

    Projected profits: 7.83

Nadal is in phenomenal shape, that is quite obvious and that is why he is the favourite to win the US Open. He dropped just one service game throughout the tournament and demolished most of his opponents en route to the final. But Djokovic has proven something in the match against Wawrinka: even when not playing his best tennis he is still able to hang in there, fight for every point and scrape through. That is why I think this will be one hell of a fight which will result into an epic five-set match.

  • Wrong prediction, it wasn't epic. Nadal won in four sets, last one was 6-1...

  • Event: Russia vs Israel, World Cup Qualifiers

    Bet: Over 2.5 goals

    Odds: 1.89

    Sportsbook: Pinnacle Sports

    Stake: 8/10

    Projected profits: 7.12

Israel need a win here, the only result that would keep them in the qualifying race, so they will probably play an attacking game since they have nothing to lose. On the other hand Russia also need a win to move up top of the group. Russia have beaten Israel 4-0 in the previous match and they have a very strong team. It will be a hard-fought match and both teams will probably score, I expect at least a 2-1 win for Russia or a similar result with at least three goals scored.

  • The prediction was correct, Russia won 3-1.

  • Event: Atletico Paranaense – Fluminense, Brazil Serie A

    Bet: Both teams to score

    Odds: 1.80

    Sportsbook: Bet365

    Stake: 9/10

    Projected profits: 7.20

The last six matches between these two teams have ended with goals scored on both sides and that could well happen again today. Both teams are in desperate need of a win, Atletico for securing a place in the top four and Fluminense for steering themselves clear of the last four places. Fluminense seem better away than at home though, they managed to score in seven of their nine away games this season.

  • The prediction was correct, it ended 1-1.

  • Event: Internacional vs Vitoria, Brazil Serie A

    Bet: Internactional -1.25 Asian Handicap

    Odds: 1.83

    Sportsbook: 188Bet

    Stake: 9/10

    Projected profits: 7.47

Internacional will be determined to win this one as Vitoria are in very poor shape, they secured a 1-1 draw against Atletico Mineiro in the last match after losing all four previous ones. As for Vitoria's away form, they got six defeats and just one draw in the last seven matches. Intertnacional have suffered a 2-1 defeat to Santos which ended a good eight-match unbeaten run. The -1.25 Asian Handicap would give you half of your stakes back if they win by just one goal.

  • Wrong prediction this time, it ended 2-2.

  • Event: Janko Tipsarevic vs Milos Raonic, Davis Cup

    Bet: Tipsarevic to win

    Odds: 2.32

    Sportsbook: Pinnacle Sports

    Stake: 6/10

    Projected profits: 7.92

The Davis Cup clash between Serbia and Canada starts today in Belgrade and Tipsarevic takes on Raonic in the second singles match of the day after Djokovic would probably have beaten Pospisil. Tipsarevic had a very poor season, dropped out of the top 20 and never seemed to get back to his former self. He did play pretty well at the US Open though and that might be a good sign. Raonic is great on fast surfaces but has never shown more than average performances on clay. That fact along with Tipsarevic's determination and the backing of the Serbian fans make me believe that Janko will win this one, the odds are great considering all those facts.
