Euro 2012 Predictions

I wouldn't underestimate Italy, they played a great game against England and, from what I've seen, they improved with every match at this tournament. The Germans have a strong team but I wouldn't rule out an Italian victory.

But that game is the day after tomorrow, let's predict tomorrow's game now, which is...

Spain vs Portugal

Spain are the obvious favourites and I think they will win the game even though Portugal have Ronaldo in great shape. He's the type of player that can win a match all by himself so Spain will have to give him very little space and time on the ball.

I think that Spain will win, they have a better time overall and yes, Ronaldo is in a great shape but Portugal depends too much on him; I doubt it's easy to play like that in important matches like this one.

Spain is favorite undoubtedly. But it`s a chance for Ronaldo to show that he can play in decisive games and break stereotypes.

Against all odds ill go for Portugal, like johnny said, ronaldo is in great shape and could win the match by himself.........

Well, I have gone with Portugal... HEART choice. And I have gone with ITALY... BRAIN choice.

Can't wait to see how it shakes out, as both my choices seem to go pretty much against the general consensus here and at the Sportsbooks.

I would like if Portugal is to win.

I predict 0-0 regular time ( its already the 2nd half and it seems its going to end with this result ).

then 1-1 in extra time , and then Portugal wins the penalties :D

Sad game, but if you had to pick between two bad playing teams, spain won, and they did..........

i hate penaltys

Spain played well in extra time, I guess that makes them deserving winners. And yeah, I hate penalty kicks too.

I was convinced that Spain would win in the regular time, but I'm glad they eventually won the match.

Ah well, I have taken another blow to the HEART betting side of me... I so wanted Portugal to win...

Germany vs Italy today...

I am a bit biased on this one because I like Italy, so I hope they will win. I doubt they can do it in normal time though so we might see a penalty shoot-out again.

They have 5 shots each side to start with.  Whoever scores the most, wins.  If it is equal after 5 shots each, it is 1 shot each side until there is a winner.

I'm going for Germany to win because I think they will, rather than me wanting them to win.

It was a very good game, a whole lot better than Portugal vs Spain.

I have to say that I admire the way the Italians fought tonight, it seems that they really pull together when their whole football system is under terrible accusations.

Go figure: they won the 2006 World Cup during the "Calciopoli" scandal and the 1982 World Cup during the "Totonero" scandal, a huge match-fixing investigation which led to AC Milan being relegated, among others.

The first half was fantastic blue, the rest of the game was gook also.

But this Balotelli, man he is crazy, but great, but mostly crazy!!

So, the big final tomorrow...

I have thought and thought about it, over and over again, and I think Italy will win it. But probably not during normal time.

I'm probably wrong but from what I saw Italy was playing better and better in each match, and Spain looked very powerful in the beginning but now not so much. I think that Italy can win the final. I'm also not sure if they can do it during the regular time but I think that they will win.

I am betting Italy can do it! And I am betting that they can do it in regular time by a margin of 2 points! This bet is all HEART!

Half time: Spain 2 Italy 0

Spain played almost perfectly, converted two of their three decent chances. However, Italy played well too and could have scored at least once.

It's not over in my view, if Italy manage to score one before the hour mark then we'll see some really exciting football in the last half hour.

I sure hope something good happens here in the next few minutes for Italy. Balatelli needs to make one of those attempts in...  :-S

It is getting too hard to watch now. Spain scoring that 3rd point just turned my tummy upside down... OMG 4th point before I could get this typed...

It was a harsh result for Italy, they did play pretty well until the 60th minute when they were left with only 10 men on the pitch due to the injury to Thiago Motta.

Anyway, they can be proud of what they have achieved at Euro 2012, they reached the finals against all odds. Most people didn't even expect them to qualify from the group stage.

Congratulations to Spain, they remain the best team in Europe and probably the best team in the world.

Wow, Spain played really well in the final, Italy as well but they didn't use their chances unfortunately.
