Hello,
My story involves the Bovada site. I've used it a few times in the past. I liked the site better than others I've used, which is why this is such an unfortunate situation. I'm a weekly user, won some money on a fight recently, and lost all my super bowl bets.
The other night, I decided to log on and play some blackjack. I made a $200 deposit and (I believe) there was a $100 bonus. I played for a while, and racked up $1100. I took a break, and left to place a a bet on a hockey game. I also played a little roulette, and some video poker, broke even at both.
So I returned to blackjack, with the idea in mind that if I dropped to $1000 I'd quit, and if I hit $1500, I'd quit. But I had a very successful run and wound up with a balance of 1800.18. More than satisfied, I was set to play one more hand, I believe for $25, when suddenly I was kicked out of the game. The window closed. Back on the main screen, my balance showed as $1100 as it had previously. Noticing this, and confused, I went to click on my member information, when deposits are done, withdrawals are made, etc. When I clicked on it, my balance changed to .68!
Thinking it was some kind of glitch, I refreshed the screen to see a balance of $1100 again. When I went to the member info, it dropped to .68 again. I refreshed the page, logged out and logged back in, but that's where it stayed and my balance remains there today
I sent several customer service emails explaining my plight. I did some googling and looked on twitter and saw that other people were having issues too. So I figured once I was contacted, all will be well. Unfortunately I only received several copy and paste replies, even after sending pictures of my balances, that I had recorded via my phone while I played.
When I was told to check my transaction history so I could see every bet I made (which I already knew,) but I wanted to check for irregularities, I saw that not only was my balance never reflected as either amount that I had recorded, but there were bets messing and also bets I hadn't made, that led to a balance of .68.
I know exactly what and when I played. I know when I was set to make a final bet, the program crashed on me, and I know there's an error here. I'm also aware that people probably try to cry wolf a lot about bets they did or didn't make, but the fact remains that something went wrong here, and my balance is $1800.18 short minus whatever portion of the bonus returns to them. The .68 cents may or may not be apart of what I had, I don't know but obviously that's the least of my concerns.
I feel like I'm not going to get a straight answer from their customer service, or I'll just keep getting copy and paste responses, so I did some research and it led me here. After searching the forums, I learned that mistaken balances, and mystery transactions aren't that uncommon. Hopefully you guys can lend me a hand here, as not only is that a good chunk of change, but I won it rightfully, in the best night of blackjack I've ever had. I'd also like to continue frequenting Bovada, because, as I stated earlier, until now, I really enjoyed the site. So I hope this can be resolved. Thank you for your time and take care.
ps my ID there is the same as it is here.
