in Koln no was ISIS
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has voiced outrage over the sexual assaults and thefts that male gangs inflicted on women in Cologne on New Year's Eve.
Women have made at least 90 criminal complaints to police about the harassment by gangs at Cologne's main railway station on Thursday night.
Germans have been shocked by the scale of the attacks, involving many groups of drunk and aggressive young men.
Witnesses and police said the men were of Arab or North African appearance.
Mrs Merkel called Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker on Tuesday and expressed her "outrage over these disgusting attacks and sexual assaults". -

coutrieS? yes AND no.. SOME are able.. the rest should NOT ... ASIDE from the issues of COST to help aide these people that have been to hell & back, to stick ppl accustomed, we'l just say a VERY DIFFERENT life in a place where they have nothing, no1, and need everything, and residents both fear & hate them is a bad situation for EVERY1. not too mention that you cannot differentiate between who is hostile & who is not. there's no way to vet them either, and saying that we ARE is horsesh*t. Do u know there are enough UNUSED air conditioned "tents" (i say tents but they're more like "camps") that could provide temporary housing to up to 3 MILLION refugees? why is Saudi Arabia right next door refusing? money? counterterrorism? culture? look at what is happening in Europe right now! ya know these leaders keep talking about the women & children... but women do what they're told in that "culture" and children grow up to be just like their parents. seriouslY? women are second class? its ok to rape under certain circumstances? its ok to kill for your "god"? what good does that bring to people ANYWHERE? and THOSE beliefs aren't even from the TERRORISTS? I understand that were talking about millions of ppl A LOT of which just NEED TO GET OUTA HARMS WAY... what we SHOULD do..is evacuate all the families, level the rest, and them helpm rebuild.. cause unless you KNOW their daily lives and routines.. its not helping any1 to bring them somewhere else. daily practices in these nations that have been seen by our troops on the ground paints a VERY different picture than the liberal media. those of you who say YES ABSOLUTELY.. go talk to a military man or woman thats been stationed there .... then come back an tell me you want a person like that for YOUR neighbor

Yes. Though I live in France, I'm not scared. I'm human and that's the most important thing.
Maybe it will be us tomorrow. Maybe we'll seek asylum ourselves because of the far right governments that are about to rule our western countries in the near future... So before blaming peoples, religions or whatever, restore your faith in humanity first. -

What's more, countries involved in the western coalition during the 2nd war in Iraq should accept refugees on moral grounds. They have a responsability for the chaos in the Middle East after all... But like the financial crisis in 2008, they created chaos and then washed their hands of it whereas other countries still have to cope with the consequences (Greece, Germany, France...).

i copied this for you .if i cant type so well english
In fact, "atheism" is a term that should not even exist. No one ever needs to identify himself as a "non-astrologer" or a "non-alchemist". We do not have words for people who doubt that Elvis is still alive or that aliens have traversed the galaxy only to molest ranchers and their cattle. Atheism is nothing more than the noises reasonable people make in the presence of unjustified religious beliefs -

I still disagree. In certain countries, people can be sentenced to death if they dare say they are atheists. Even in certain "democracies", people tend to think that if you have no religion, you have no morality. As a consequence, people should reaffirm their non-religious beliefs as a mark of freedom, courage and resistance!

if something not exist for you why need be against that thing?
sorry for my english
An atheist is not "against God", atheists don't constitute a militant movement or a religious group. I do agree that the word is somewhat reductive but that was not the point that HER74 was trying to make. -

If I understand you correctly, you are asking me not to talk about god (which one by the way?) because I have no religious faith? As a free thinker living in a free country, I can talk about all sorts of concepts. Religion is a concept and anybody can talk about it as long as it's not disrespectful or against the law. And even if it is sometimes - just consider Charlie Hebdo publications - blasphemy is not a crime anymore, at least in my country. But as far as Charlie Hebdo is concerned, certain people wanted them not to talk about god as well... -

No they shouldnt. Why you ask? Because one out of thousand is a extremist, and it dangers a safety of entire continent and region. I feel sorry for those people who are really looking for better life, but since half of the Europe can't sleep well, that is an huge problem
The huge problem in Europe is terrorism obviously, but also ignorance, racism, fascism and far right parties unceasingly exacerbating tensions between people... We now need to protect our privacy and private freedom because when one of these parties take power, they'll access a huge amount of private info collected by previous governments. Who knows what they'll do with such data! This is incredibly dangerous. I'm sure there is a way to fight terrorism and reach out to people seeking asylum without compromising our safety and our basic rights and freedoms. -

Bad politics by USA and NATO, they tried to ''force Democratic'' wrong way, by bombing and killing innocent civilians and forcing dictators out. But thing is, those countries and cultures are not ready and capable of that system, so now they created more terrorists, and in internet and social media era recruiting new members is easy, you don't even have to meet them in person and risk exposure.

ISIS is not the only terrorist organisation to have brought terror, and neither will it be the last, there have been many, but now the media tends to get a grip ....I remember the onslaught of the IRA too in the 70's/80's ...we did not punsih all of the same religion/beliefs/country then...I dont see why we should with this organisation either.. People need to get a grip before we start alienating ourselves from reality

Here in South Africa we have a lot of refugees coming in from Zimbabwe because of thier Dictator Mugabe so that's the trouble here regarding the EU I personally think the US should share in the effort to help the Syrian refugees as they the ones who can't stop bombing the east for oil and ultimately are the root cause of the the whole refugee issue anyway

I feel badly about the situation in Syria but I think the Syrians should struggle for their country. Who else will help theie homeland recover if they all leave?
I've spoken to my friends who live in France and they say the locals almost hate the refugees. They don't want to work. They don't do absolutely anything. They don't respect the French way of living and don't want to integrate. So why should Europeans suffer?
Of course, there are some exceptions to the rules, there are respectful and hard-working people, but unfortunately, they're in the minority.

I wonder why do refugees go to the Gulf rather than to Europe?
These Gulf countries have the same language and religion and have rich economies.
Not exactly the same religion. People in the rich Gulf states are Sunni Muslims, most Syrian refugees are Shia Muslims. Saudi Arabia is believed to be backing ISIS, which are also Sunni, because they want to reduce the influence of Shia-led states in the region (mainly Iran).

I teach children that are from Syria on my primary school ... Sometimes they are in The Netherlands for just 1 year and they come to my class ... The stories some of them told me ... I cannot describe in words how much that hurt deep in my core ...
Im so happy I am able to give them a little bit of trust back in the world by providing a safe situation in my classroom together with other kids ... Im so ''proud'' to see them smile and learn ...
This is just something I wanted to add here :) !!!

Hello everyone, here in Africa we do eat grasshoppers but when collecting them at night, with the help of a very bright light we do collect other unwanted insects like locusts, which we throw away. But this doesn't stop us from collecting other grasshoppers.
Now how about human life?! Terrorists exist in Syria but the most people are the innocent and suffering.
Those suffering children in Syria, if taken in and given good education, can even become future scientists, doctors, etc
