Man Finds Gold Stash in AC Unit

An AC repairman from Sacramento found 180 ounces of gold, worth about $250,000 in cash,  inside of an air conditioning unit.

Guess what he did?

He gave the gold-filled jars back to the owners of the house.

He refused to comment any further when asked by journalists.

What would you have done with the gold?

To be honest, i would have kept it..........

          I really hope they rewarded him with a finder's fee.

Hmmm... I think I would give it back to the owners... I couldn't even steal a gum when I was a kid.

I would take it to the police.  After 3 months it would legally be mine.  What a great find.

I did hear about a guy over here who bought some old van for £400 and he found £3,000 in cash in it.  I don't think he took it to the police though cough cough.

I would probably give it back to the homeowners, but I think I would have to test them to see if they knew about it first. If they had no idea it was there, then off to the police I'd go and then hold my breath for 3 months.

honestly i would be hard pressed to give it back or turn it in but knowing me and who i am i would do the right thing

i will answer this honestly as i can, i am a honest person, so "depending on the circumstances" i would in this case hand it in to the owners or the police which ever was suitable, because those current owners that gold might not have been theres either.

I KNOW that has to be my old AC!!

I think I'd talk to the homeowners and if they had no clue it was there,I think I'd keep it at least for awhile just so I could stare at it!!

i think they had no idea because they wouldnt have someone working around it if they did...im not sure what i would of done.....maybe told them i found the 10 ounces of gold they had lol

I think I would also give it back, but hope for some reward I couldn't keep it if I knew it belonged to somebody, I believe in karma

The first answer that comes to mind is that I would keep it. However, I'm sure that I would have second thoughts so I might give it back after all.
