Demo games or Real money

Do you test games before depositing?  I usually skip Demos if someone recommends the game for me.

Mostly not, sometimes I check demos for the new games, just to see the graphics and overall design. 

I think playing demo slot games is a great way to get familiar with the rules and mechanics of slots before playing for real money..

Sometimes, I do skipped demos if there is a recommendation. But, before I deposit, I usually try a game if I am able to receive free chips, perks, or bonuses. I feel that even if I do not win, at least I had a chance to win and my time was not wasted.

I agree that trying different casinos and different games within the casinos using free chips, bonuses and perks are the best way to test wether or not you enjoy the different casinos and games. 

I strongly recommend playing demo games before trying a video slot and prefer those casinos that facilitate such demo games over those that don't provide these facilities. Demo games will let you know how the game works, its paytable, winning pay lines, and symbol payout values. Not only one can check the volatility of the game, but one can compare the RTP of the game with that given by the software provider. It is a must for a software provider to keep the demo game the same as the corresponding real money game except it can be played without your hard-earned money. You will know how often feature triggers and how much it pays, the frequency of dead spins, and the winning per spin. Never shy away from using demo games as they can save you from the embarrassment of wiping out your deposited money in no time.    

I'm testing, but it would be better if I didn't. You get strongest emotions playing unknown game, when it pays ofc).
