1.  What's your most desirable Christmas present
  Most desireable would have to be "The gift of giving Insight" So my Sister and Brother can see into the future and see that all of their accusations were totally wrong. Then they would see everything that could have been and how better their lives, their children's lives, my parents lives and finally my life would have been. And paid more attention to what they were doing to themselves and quit trying to control the love of their parents only onto them instead of sharing it like normal family's.

2.  What part of Christmas is your favourite i.e. the food, presents etc
  My favorite part of Christmas was working with the REAL Santa and Mrs. Clause. For the last ten years my Family's photography business has done the Santa Clause pictures at the Jelly Belly Candy Factory in Fairfield CA. We prided ourselves on giving a great positive experience to everyone who wanted to see Santa. Unlike the Mall Santa's where it is all about the money and you barely get to say anything to Santa. Our Santa would sit and talk to every child and adult and genuinely care about what they were saying. most of the time he would spend about 3 to 15 minutes with each family and then I would take their picture. We also let anyone take their own pictures with their camera. we give them each some candy from the factory (sample boxes of Jelly Belly's, sample boxes of reindeer corn.....it would be different each year) And most of all if they did want to get the professional pictures I took we wouldn't try and gouge them for money with useless packages. we only printed 5x7's and they were only $10 a piece. We have a very large following of family's who come every year (some bring in collages of their past years pictures with their children from birth up Thur the years.)
I look forward to Christmas from the time new years is over. And doing this each year makes my Holiday season have meaning and joy.
Unfortunately, this will be the last year we will be able to do it. because my parents are selling the business because of my sister and brothers unwillingness to work with me  for unfounded reasons.
I will greatly miss all the family's and all the employees at the Jelly Belly Factory and wish there was anyway I could keep this going by myself.


3.  What is your favourite game at Winaday/Slotland?

1.  Being with my family is the best present I could wish for at Christmas.
2.  The dinner!  OMG. I spend hours cooking the damn thing but when it's ready and the Christmas crackers are on the table, the wine is poured and we all chink our glasses together in a toast - that's my favourite part of Christmas.

For my twins brothers unresolved murder to be resolved.  He was shot and killed when we were 24 years old.  It involved police cover up.

Buying little presents for my students.  I teach 4th-8th grade.  This is my 17th year.  I buy something for every single one.  This year I have 141 students.  This helps me to get in the spirit and I enjoy the look on their faces.

Your story was touching - please don't apologise.  Your story wasn't the only sad story plus the real beauty of this particular contest was the fact that there were no wrong answers.  Everyone who entered had exactly the same chance at winning as all names were entered into the random.org "hat" and the click of the button chose the winners.

Sounds like things are looking up for you now with your cheaper rent and utilities.  Try and stay positive and next Christmas, just buy really small gifts for your family so you don't wipe out your bank balance or alternatively, make some gifts throughout the year.  It should always be the thought that counts and despite not getting anything in return, you've stayed true to yourself and that's what matters.

Keep your chin up and I hope 2014 is a great year for you.
