  • Are you, by chance, using or planning to use GamStop to self-exclude from accessing certain casinos?

This IMPORTANT info is for you!

Though self-exclusion is of interest mainly to those battling gambling addiction - player safety and protection IS an industry-wide issue and as such, one of the primary concerns of reputable affiliates, casinos, and their patrons.

There's yet another malpractice that seems to be developing among corrupted casino affiliates, who are now targeting high-risk, vulnerable gamblers via search terms related to 'non-gamstop casinos', to try and redirect traffic to rogue brands, particularly those under the Game Tech Group who accept UK players even though they are not licensed to do so.

Players who are trying to self-exclude via GamStop end up exploited at one of these rogue properties instead.

Our fellow affiliates The Pogg are trying to offset the damage that these sites can do by specifically targeting these keywords, but instead of recommending casinos they are using the page as an advert for BetBlocker, their free Responsible Gambling app, which offers far more options and includes a greater number of online casinos than similar free apps available on the market.

It was precisely a BetBlocker user who figured out what the Game Tech Group is doing and brought it to our attention!

Be careful out there and spread the word about this unethical practice - addiction is a serious problem and those already struggling to keep it under control should not be exploited in such an unscrupulous manner.

  • It's incredible to what lengths some people can go just to make some money. I'm glad this info came to the surface, hopefully things will get sorted out one way or the other.

  • What a discraceful thing to do.  There's always someone out there who doesn't give a damn about anyone or anything other than their own pocket.  Shame on them.

  • Thanks for bringing this information to the forum. BetBlocker is a great tool and a big thumbs up to The Pogg! This is such an abuse of power. Preying on problem gamblers to make money is pathetic. Not only are these shady affiliates promoting non-gamstop casinos, but the fact that they're unlicensed. Education is power and we're happy to spread the knowledge. Be safe out there!

  • Unbelievable! It's no different than drug dealers trying reel in the weak and addicted. This is critical information to be aware of. Big thanks to the person who brought this to our attention.

  • So disappointing! So glad to have this pertinent information brought to the forum so our members can be brought up to speed. With so many efforts in recent times moving towards better preventing problem gambling, it's sad to see something like this taking place. But awareness is key and hopefully that will make all the difference in preventing situations like this in the future...

    what a DIRTY move. I am disgusted ! be_sick

  • it is amazing what people do to try to get rich, Winoui casino ripped me out of pocket £3000, their site looks different from all the rest that arent on gamstop. i think these casinos need to be shut down. if they arent registered to gamstop they shouldnt be allowed.

yes the problem gambler does all they can to gamble and these scumbags exploit it. In this day and age, there should not be an option.

im surprised they still get away with it.

    2.9/ 5

  • In my opinion, that the worst enemy is you to your self. Do you think that these regulations can stop you ,if you are addicted to gambling? I don't think so. Do you think that alcohol prices can stop peoples for not to buy drinks? I don't think so.

  • they arent on gamstop for a reason, because they are rogues. ive certainly learnt my lesson. i wont be going on any sites like this anymore, might aswell just get a handful of cash and throw it all down the street
