I have to agree with you both.When we were able to play microgaming here I played some of their tourneys and I noticed some people would keep on rebuying to the point they spent more doing that then they would win.

They should have left them alone!!

A comforting thing is that rebuy is introduced only on Desert Nights (that i know) and even there I did not found a use for it on a freeroll.

I've noticed they have the re-buys at Grande Vegas too.

I'm with you Syl on the add-ons and re-buys in freerolls. A person actually playing it as a freeroll does not have much of a chance even if they score high. Someone else will keep going till the have bought the prize.

You are so right and who the heck would even "buy-in" in a free roll that pays so little to begin with.  RTG freerolls are worthless.  And now that they have buy-ins are not free.

Its a very decent amount considering you didnt bet your money, particularly if you have in mind that max cashout on many free chips is no more than $50

Not so decent when many of the RTG casinos require a one cent entry fee after you have lost hundreds or thousands of your deposits.

I would agree that who cares anyway about winning a potential $10.00 when you can't even withdrawal that amount and if you play it and win can only cashout $50.00 which is below the minimum cashout amount at many RTG casinos.

If we talk about depositors only freerolls than I agree with you footdr, yet there are non depositors freerolls at RTG casinos that are first: a lot of fun for many peaople and second: not much less worth than a small free chips with huge wagering requirements and max cashout of $50.

I would also like to mention that perspective maybe changed with introduction of add-on and re-buy features. It seems to me that once very entertaining tournaments that you could play absolutely for free now cost something if you want to have a chance of being among first three competitiors (thats not necessary true but statisticaly speaking it pretty much is)
