William Hill has assumed control of Golden Entertainment's sportsbook operations in the state of Nevada through a multi-year deal that encompasses a strategic partnership that began on February 13th.
Under the contract terms...
...the mammoth betting conglomerate from Great Britain already took over race and sports wagering operations in three Golden Entertainment's properties: Las Vegas' Arizona Charlie's Decatur and Arizona Charlie's Boulder, as well as Laughlin's Aquarius Casino Resort.
In addition, Hill will be launching their brand of innovative technology, live InPlay wagering menu and award-winning sports betting app at The STRAT Hotel, Casino and SkyPod on the Las Vegas Strip in late March.
Continuation of a Fruitful Relationship
This is, as was previously stated, the extension of an ongoing alliance:
Hill has been providing Golden Entertainment with race and sportsbook solutions for quite some time. Their venues of purveyance are Pahrump’s Nugget Hotel & Gambling Hall as well as Gold Town Casino and Lakeside Casino & RV Park kiosks.
The US operator also owns circa eighty taverns and third-party-distributed locations all over Nevada, including the recently acquired Edgewater and Colorado Belle resorts in Laughlin – which too will be supplied by William Hill.
High Spirits All Around
Comments Hill U.S. CEO, Joe Asher:
“The addition of the four new casino resorts marks an exciting new chapter in our relationship with Golden Entertainment. We look forward to working together to offer sports fans an amazing experience for many years to come in Nevada and elsewhere as opportunities arise.”
Golden Entertainment, Inc COO, Steve Arcana, echoed these sentiments and said:
“We are excited to continue expanding our relationship with William Hill, which has a proven sports wagering platform not only in Nevada but around the world. We look forward to growing our business in Nevada and other jurisdictions through this partnership.”
There is a very realistic prospect of taking this partnership to the next level still, with the possible opening of sports wagering operations in Montana and Maryland...
...which, of course, depends on whether these states will legalize sports betting or not. If they do, seeing as Golden Entertainment conducts gaming business in 300 Montana locations and is the sole proprietor of Maryland's Rocky Gap Casino Resort, it is very likely that William Hill will be taking their business there as well.
Business in Green
Hill was kept quite busy across the pond, as well...
...as the company finalized the several months long process of purchasing MRG (MrGreen operator) that was acquired for $307 million. The final stakes of MRG were bought in late January, meaning that the full takeover is complete.
The final act could not be carried out if it wasn't for approval by jurisdictions where MRG conducts its business, which are UK, Ireland Malta, Denmark, Italy, Latvia and, most recently entered – Sweden.

Good deal for William Hill, plus if they expand to one eastern and one western state, they will truly be all over the place.
