An agreement of contractual expansion between Scientific Games and Dutch State Lottery (Nederlandse Loterij) has been signed between the two brands and will see the operator launch their digital sports betting products in the Netherlands.
Nederlandse Loterij will acquire SG's OpenSports end-to-end platform and players in the Netherlands will be able to access it on mobile and desktop devices.
Keeping Quality and Stability
Beside the said platform...
...the Lottery will also gain access to SG's OpenTrade managed trading services for non-Dutch sports. Nederlandse Loterij was formed in 2016 after a merger of Sichting Nationale Sporttotlisator and Sttatsloterij.
They have been cooperating with Scientific Games for a long period of time. SG's has been supplying their OpenPlatform player account technology to them through what was originally a NYX gaming Group deal. They also deliver instant win games.
Sam Depoortere, Dutch Lottery's sportsbook business director said:
“We’re excited to offer our players a seamlessly connected online sportsbook that keeps quality and stability top-of-mind. Expanding our partnership with Scientific Games will help us gain new players and keep our existing bettors engaged.”
The Core of Global Growth
SG Digital's senior vice president of sportsbook and platforms, Keith O'Loughlin, said himself:
“We recognise the importance of transitioning from a sports technology provider to a full-service, end-to-end sportsbook partner. Teams across Scientific Games have re-engineered the full product suite by putting the player at the heart of our decision-making. Sports betting is currently positioned at the core of global growth for the lottery and gaming industry, and we'll be providing Nederlandse Loterij advanced innovation to fuel their ongoing success in the Netherlands.”
Nederlandse Loterij js under the jurisdiction of Dutch Ministry of Finance. The tax revenue collected through it is sent to local institutions of charity.
Scientific Games is providing game entertainment technology and solutions to 150 lotteries in 50 countries around the world. They also supply sports betting technology to lotteries in Europe, US, Canada and Asia.
Expansion With Caesars Entertainment
Scientific Games has recently signed an expansion agreement with Caesars Entertainment that will see the two parties launch sportsbooks in Indiana – a state that was the last US jurisdiction to legalize this betting vertical.
Christian Stuart, Caesars' executive vice president of gaming and interactive entertainment has said that Indiana is continuing the trend of successful sportsbook launches and that seeing OpenSports engage their players with sleek user experience and high transactions volume will be great.
Golf Partnership With IMG Arena
iGaming, iLottery and sportsbook brand SG Digital will be delivering their ground-breaking golf content to IMG Arena.
Golf Event Centre that is due to begin in January next year is the centerpiece of this partnership that makes SG IMG Arena's first partner for this.

It's cool that sports betting is taking over the world, first the Europe, now US too.
