Primorye Gambling Zone is located in Russia as one of the legally allowed gambling zones throughout the country. According to the words of vice governor, Konstantin Shestakov, the Russian area is looking to kick off 11 casino venues by 2023.
More About the Project
The Gambling Zone is going to become one of the leading operational regions in the country. Official information states that RUB 78.5 has been given throughout the region to boost the construction of the project. Not only Russia but also other countries like Hong Kong, China, the kingdom of Cambodia, and South Korea invested in the project.
Shestakov explained:
“We have entered the final stage of constructing two new entertainment complexes with casinos in the gambling zone. An investor from Cambodia is completing an 11-story hotel with a casino and a concert hall, while a Russian investor, Shambhala CJSC, will launch its casino tentatively in March 2020. Workers are already finishing the building.”
The whole project is under the control of Primorsky Krai Development Corporation JSC. However, the local vice governor assures that everything works smoothly and that 11 new facilities will be operational within the deadline.
More About Russian Gambling Policy
Both the Zone and the Russian government put a lot of hope in the future facility. Officials expect to see expansion in a number of tourists coming to the new gambling area. The country has already started promotional programs aiming to attract regular Japanese tourists to the region.
Furthermore, the Zone will be the first innovative development in the country. Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has put the zone on the priority list after the annexation of Crimea in 2014. It is believed that the region will become a gambling center as well as a popular tourist location.
At the moment, there are four gambling regions in Russia including Altai, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad, and Primorsky. Crimea has already submitted an application to become the next gambling region but didn't get enough support.
Meanwhile, we can observe that Russia wants to speed up the completion of the previous projects. After the opening of Tigre de Cristal casino in 2015, the country hopes to have similar venues which will bring additional profit. As a reminder, Tigre de Cristal brings about a half a billion rubles on the annual level. The venue draws the attention of regular visitors with already 1.5 million visits recorded.

Jeez, there building casinos everywhere over there! I think they might as well put one in Chernobyl at this point too, lol(only kidding). Nice to see legalized gambling picking up steam in Russia. Looks like a great plan and I will definitely be keeping up with what Primorye has in store.
