The speculations are over! One of the leading online casino games developing platforms, Pragmatic Play (founded in 2015), has been awarded a Gibraltar B2B supplier license, allowing it to serve the iGaming community of the British Overseas Territory on Spain’s south coast.
To clarify, this gambling license allows Gibraltar-licensed operators to deploy the provider’s exquisite collection of top-ranking casino games, including the award-winning titles Wolf Gold, Da Vinci’s Treasure and Ancient Egypt Classic, to name a few…
Chief commercial officer at the company, Melissa Summerfield, comments:
“Gibraltar is a renowned jurisdiction and this licence represents a crucial step for us as we move ahead with our strategy to make our award-winning products available to regulated markets worldwide.”
She also adds that Pragmatic has been very successful in other European markets such as Italy, Portugal and Spain, but the team is looking forward to delivering more innovative products to major iGaming operators on The Rock.
Pragmatic Play’s Ambitious Expansion Resumes
Although the approval in Gibraltar represents an important step for the company, at least in terms of reaching leading regulated markets in the industry, it is also just a smaller part of the global expansion. In the last couple of months, the aggregator has signed multiple deals with reputable operators in Europe and North America, including The Stars Group, Kindred and Casumo…
The multi-product content provider has also initiated investments in the live casino vertical by acquiring Extreme Live Gaming – a move that will certainly push the extension of video slots, scratchcards and bingo offerings towards new audiences as well.
The Rapidly Increasing Library
As one of the fastest growing iGaming vendors, Pragmatic has contributed over 100 in-house products to the market, mostly HTML5 games that are available in 26 languages and currencies, of course.
Its library is famous not only for creating an engaging playing experience but an impressionistic and immersive setting, typical perhaps to top-performing land-based establishments only.
In fact, if we go a couple of steps back and take a look at what the company has achieved in the previous period, the Gibraltar approval will start to look significantly small… the studio has inked trailblazing partnerships with Mr Green in April, Starcasino.it at the end of May, Casino Portugal in August and Paf Casino in November.
In the meantime, the group released a couple of new additions to the catalog such as Wolf Gold (a scratch game), Leprechaun Song (3x5 slot) with catchy Celtic tunes, elf’s singing, extra spin features, and progressive spin cycles… also, on Halloween 2018, players were presented Ancient Egypt Classic – a refurbished older medium-variance slot with a number of symbols, including the Eye of Ra and the canine god Anubis.

Glad to see Gibraltar making significant moves to a more regulated gambling environment, unlike its parent regulator, UKGC…
