Since nothing good was happening while I was paying the “Gladiator” slot at Pamper Casino; my thoughts wandered away and I started thinking about how it must have been to be a gladiator. Just an idea of fighting to the death in an amphitheater while being watched by an enthusiastic audience, I have to say, it’s both terrifying and inhuman. I know that gladiators did not always fight to the death and even though they were mostly slaves they were subjected to a rigorous training, fed on high-energy diet, and given expert medical attention. They were an expensive investment; for a gladiator who died in combat the trainer might charge the sponsor of the fatal spectacle up to a hundred times the cost of a gladiator who survived.
The “Gladiator” slot was good to me, but only at the beginning. I got the Click Me feature rather easily and I won $6 playing with a $0.60 bet. I raised my balance to $65, but at that moment, it went cold on me. It was simply awful, no Wilds, no features, only empty spins. I lost around $40 in just a few minutes and I decided not to waste my time on it anymore. Then, I remembered that I was very successful playing the “True Illusions” slot so I gave it a try again. I got the Wild in the middle reel and I brought back my balance to life…. at least, a little bit – from $22 to $38. I also triggered Free Spins but the winnings were insignificant. During those five free spins I got only around $2. When I was down to $20 I got another Wild on the third reel, but I didn’t win anything this time.
It was just incredible how tight slots were; it was very irritating. At least, I only invested my money not my life. It’s not enough to make me feel better, but at least I’m still alive after this loss.
