A new Oscar Award Ceremony is just around the corner and the excitement is already evident among movie lovers. Some people are more curious about who’s going to wear whom but I’m more interested in who’s going to win the awards for best actors, film, director etc. This time slots triggered my thinking about Oscars when I chose to play “Big Shot” at the Jackpot Grand Casino. Just as young actors are looking for their chance, I’m also still looking for my big jackpot but it seems that that isn’t as close as I hoped. The “Big Shot” slot wasn’t too cruel to me, though; I had a lot of wins around my bet so even though I was losing money, the playtime was very long – that’s something, I guess. I was lucky enough to get 10 Free Spins and an interesting thing was that in each following spin the multiplier gets bigger by 1. So, in the 10th free spin I had a 10x multiplier. That wasn’t enough for a big win and I finished the feature with $5.92. I kept playing the slot and I even raised my bet from $0.40 to $0.60. I really hoped that the slot was going to deliver, but it was my mistake to think so.
Since I didn’t use my big opportunity to win some money, I turned to another movie themed slot – “Fame and Fortune”. It started well but it soon went cold. I got the Fame Scatter on the first reel over 10 times in a row, but the second one I needed on the fifth reel never appeared. It wasn’t anything unexpected in all honesty. I had some very nice spin wins; the best of them were $8.56 and $11.10 with a $0.40 bet. After going down to just $0.66, I triggered the Bonus and won $8.85. I raised my bet to $0.80 and after two spins I got the feature again winning $8.64. I really had some nice wins in the base game so I brought my balance back to $20 which was a success. I’m not sure if fame and fortune are waiting somewhere for me to grab them, but this was surely a nice experience, coming back to the game from the edge. I got everything - some money, fun and excitement. Although, next time, I would like some more money.
