Roarsome Opportunity for Multi-Award-Winning Corporation

Following a successful licensing process and operating agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO), LeoVegas Group has entered into the newly-launched online gambling market in Canada. With this certificate, the company’s two renowned casino brands will be able to offer their casino, live casino, and betting products to Ontarian players.

In March this year, the Group had registered as a gaming operator with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the regulatory agency in Canada's most populous province of Ontario. Worth noting is that this approval is Leo’s ninth gaming license in a locally regulated market, confirming that the high quality of services and products offered by this operator is recognized.

Throughout 2021, LeoVegas entered numerous strategic partnerships with multiple forward-thinking studios such as Blue Guru Games, Slotmill, Swintt, Push Gaming, and many more. Thanks to these strategic deals, the operator had the exclusive right to premiere versatile hit games to its clients, offering them unparalleled player experience on mobile devices.

High Expectations and Growth Ambitions

Following the operating agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO), AGCO’s subsidiary, the company’s LeoVegas casino and Royal Panda casino will deliver their cutting-edge content via its proprietary player account management platform Rhino.

Commenting on the agreement, Gustaf Hagman, CEO of LeoVegas Group announced:

“LeoVegas is already one of the strongest brands in Ontario, with a proven track record of operating in regulated markets, so we are thrilled to be going live on day one and to be among the first to have secured an operating agreement! We look forward to continuing to bring our safe, world-class gaming experiences to Ontario and have high expectations and growth ambitions in North America.”

According to the Group’s revenue statistics…

… Canada accounted for 13% of revenue in January 2022, of which 35% was generated in Ontario. During the Q4 of 2021, revenues from locally regulated or locally taxed markets accounted for 74% of the total revenue.

Expansion in North America is firmly in line with the Group’s strategy to grow both in locally regulated markets and markets that are soon to open their doors to content suppliers and casino operators. In addition to this, the Group will also be launching in the United States later this year, with New Jersey being the ice-breaking market.

Ontario Opens Doors for Finest Brands

In January 2022, iGaming Ontario announced that the market will open its door on April 4, 2022, adding that all operators that haven’t received licenses must cease their activities in the region. To date, 11 casino brands received approval, among which BetMGM, Rush Street Interactive, 888, and more. As noted, 13 more are expected to be welcomed.

When it comes to providers…

…they are also actively conquering the market, seeking the opportunity to exhibit the very best slots, tables, and live games to players from Ontario. Some of the many names which already set foot in the market include Nolimit City, Quickspin, Evolution, Play’n GO, Pariplay, Microgaming, and Relax Gaming, with many more to join in the upcoming months.
