Catching up with Gamzix: Wrapping up 2023

It’s been a busy 2023 for Gamzix! Representing at iGaming events is essential to the company’s achievements. Increasing its staff by half also contributed to accomplishing this year’s goals including new exciting online games and mechanics. Did you know you can affect the plot during slot play? Read on as we get into this technological advancement and much more in our exclusive interview. We extend out gratitude to the team for taking the time to catch up with us.

Q: During our 2022 interview we discussed SIGMA Malta among other topics. What’s been happening since then?

A: We are happy to meet with you again and look back at some of the valuable achievements. As iGaming events have always been our priority, this hasn’t changed. After SIGMA Malta, we’ve been to 8 other exhibitions with personalized stands and several as guests. Finally, we have crossed the border with Latin America and Asia. To conquer their markets is our closest goal. And won SIGMA Balkans as “New Casino Game of The Year”.

Of course, all of these have happened while we were working on our new games. Now we have 50+ slots in the portfolio. And improved promo tools like tournaments to create a more wholesome playing experience for our audience.

Q: Also, during that previous chat, the company expressed plans to improve games, mechanics, design and plots in 2023. How have you accomplished that this year?

A: What a pleasure to say that we succeeded in improving all the main growth indicators. The best way to show it is the fact that our team now has 50+ specialists. This is +25 people during 2022-2023. We always have available vacancies to replenish teams in different offices. Hiring new specialists means having an ability to expand different zones of our influence. We see 2 of them as a priority. Improve current achievements: add new marketing instruments, strengthen connections with partners, upgrade tournament strategies. Make new steps: grow a portfolio, create new types of games, attend more iGaming events and conquer new markets.

Q: Triggering a slot bonus game adds to the thrill of gameplay. Tell us about Gamzix’s ‘Bonus Game’ mechanic.

A: At Gamzix we have more than 20 games which include Bonus Game mechanic. Players can choose plots, features, types they like the most, and discover absolutely amazing stories with well-known or new strategies.

Basically, Bonus Game is an extra round which adds completeness to the plot and lets a player discover any game more and more. Sometimes even the design is changing, so people can see they reached another plot twist. Personally, I love slots that include this mechanic. For example, one of our most popular games is a thematic 5×3 slot dedicated to the world of Ancient Egypt — Sunny Coin 2: Hold the Spin.

Statistically, players have a better chance of winning over the long term when they trigger and engage in the Bonus Game. Because here they can also win a Jackpot, or some extra feature like Free Spin, which are getting them way closer to big results.

Q: ‘Hold the Spin’ slots are wildly popular among players. How is this mechanic incorporated into your games, such as Coin Win: Hold the Spin, and are there any new releases on the horizon?

A: “Hold the Spin” is a unique Gamzix’s feature that serves as the main attraction in most of our games. It is a bonus feature that offers respins and payouts for bonus Symbols, in-game Jackpots, with multipliers that can reach up to x5000. In each game, “Hold the Spin” could perform in different ways.

In Coin Win you’ll find a well-known Bonus Game, but also something unexpected like the Heap of Gold feature. This mechanic adds Bonus and Royal Bonus symbols in quantity enough to start the Bonus Game, where a player can win 1 of 4 Jackpots.

Also, in Gamzix’s new slot, Olympus of Luck, players can meet Hold the Spin mechanic, which will appear in the Bonus game. But with an extra feature — Collector and Mega collector, which take all the winnings from specific coins which are already on the reels.

Q: How does your team stay on top of iGaming industry trends? Is there a fair amount of market research involved?

A: First, we are attending a lot of iGaming events. This is a perfect space to learn something new about the industry. This is not only a way to show the company and attract attention, but build connections with leaders, influencers, colleagues and learn from their experience.

Also, we are regularly doing market researchers to understand specifics of players in different regions. This helps us to fall into the desires of the target audience and create games that will be popular. I cannot mention the importance of team work here, because every specialist, from their professional point of view, can highlight details we can rely on.

Q: What comments would you like to leave LCB’ers with as we near the end of the year and approach 2024?

A: We don’t want people to forget how fast and dynamic the industry is. If you see some trends, don’t lose a chance to catch this wave. But also, be faithful to timeless trends like knowing your target audience, create a strong team and follow business’s values.
