iGaming operator headquartered in Gibraltar, BetVictor, is under new management as it just got enforced by a former founder and CEO of Inspired Entertainment, Luke Alvarez.
He will officially take over the duties of company's Chairman on December 1st.
A Change of Scenery After Sixteen Years
Alvarez has been at the helm of Inspired for sixteen years, after founding the company and steering it to major market success against all odds, having started out as a minor team of eager individuals. They became an important software developer among the global market and their virtual sports solutions are still the talk of the industry due to the quality of this output.
Inspired was purchased by Hydra Industries in 2016 – the acquisition was completed for £200 million!
Alvarez's primary concern within BetVictor will be to assist with enhancing the operator's customer protection...
...as well as regulatory and compliance programs. He will also be the joint driving force behind operator's strategy for future growth.
His experience extends far beyond his tenure at Inspired – he was also non-executive director and one of the co-founders of Gmatic and was a director of open wi-fi provider The Cloud.
Healthy Surroundings and Thoughts of Growth
BetVictor's official statement reads that Alvarez joins the company as its Chairman at a very good time – with strong growth, mobile sportsbook investments and iGaming product suite all booming.
Andreas Meinard, company's Chief Executive, said everyone is delighted to welcome Luke to their ranks: “It’s an important time for BetVictor as we continue to evolve and expand, and the strong skills and experience Luke brings are vital to help us taking our strategy and product development to the next level.”
He added that Alvarez played a crucial role in the several companies' growth and well-being and that it is his knowledge and expertise that will drive BetVictor even further as they “strengthen their customer protection focus and continue to grow as a business.”
Driving the Success Forward
Equally enthused about his new beginning was Alvarez, who, in his first introductory statement, said: "The company has strong industry-leading, in-house technology capabilities that are paving the way in the highly competitive mobile sports and gaming space. I look forward to working with Andreas and the board to help drive the company’s success.”
Over the summer, BetVictor clinched a massive deal with slot developer Yggdrasil according to which the Swedish brand will be delivering their best-performing slots to their platform.
