The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has granted permission to Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) to offer its in-house games under its B2B license.
The license will allow the interactive entertainment provider to supply its offerings to external brands operating in the UK market in addition to the existing white label customers.
‘Regulated Markets Are The Future’
Commenting on the news is GIG’s managing director, Mathias Larsson:
“We are thrilled to announce this news so early in our journey with GiG Games. Normally, a game provider enters one market at a time. However, with our strength from being a division within GiG’s ecosystem, we are able to enter multiple regulated markets at the same time. Regulated markets are the future of our industry and it is part of our core strategy to be present in every regulated market.”
Larsson adds:
“The UK market is one of the most competitive [ones] in Europe. With our partnership with Jade Rabbit, we have the expertise to build games that will be built primarily for the UK market, we are confident our games will be successful. We have seen the market welcome our first game in a positive way.”
In addition to the UK, GiG has also applied for licenses in Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Sweden, and New Jersey.
Introducing GiG Games
GIG Games is Gaming Innovation Group’s recent product line that develops slots and table games to be sold to other operators on a revenue-share basis. Likewise, the line serves as an aggregator for other platforms, which is to say that the games are available to third-party solutions as well.
GiG announced the launch of its first in-house developed game, Wild Reels, in October. The slot was originally made available to company’s own internal operators under the “soft launch” label.
By mid-2019, the company plans to launch six to eight of its in-house installments, as well as additional ones through collaborations with external developers. Of those there are two (so far): Relax Gaming and Jade Rabbit.
The first partnership was announced in May, with Relax to first supply its roulette and blackjack games, followed by the rest of the catalog.
The second partnership, was announced in October with Jade Rabbit to provide six titles. Also, the first release is expected in H1 of 2019.
More Than Meets The Eye
GiG doesn’t only deal with iGaming. The company also offers cloud services (iGamingCloud & BettingCloud) as well as consumer brands for sports and platform operators. Its B2B products are top notch, providing the company’s clients with “technology, products, and services to create an amazing experience for their users”.
In Larssons’s words, the group has a “unique iGaming eco-system and a vision of opening up the sector to make it fair and fun for all”.
GiG was founded in 2012, is based in Oslo, and has headquarters in St. George’s Bay, Malta. Its corporate branches are located in Norway, Denmark, Gibraltar, and Spain.
