The Global Lottery Monitoring System has added another member as Czech national lottery and sports betting operator, Sazka, signs up as the association’s 32nd participant. GLMS is known for detecting and anaylizing suspicious activities that endanger the integrity of sports raffles, but it also combats corruption in state lotteries.
The Association’s president, Ludovico Calvi, is delighted to welcome the Czech-based Sazka a.s. whose membership proves the organization’s efforts to provide responsible and fair sports betting services. Calvi comments:
“I am particularly pleased with this membership because I consider Sazka management very innovative minded and above all a great supporter of sport values. I am convinced that this membership will further enhance our efforts to address the phenomenon of sport competition manipulations globally and effectively.”
Sazka In Line With Core Lottery Values
Robert Chvatal, chief executive of the national lottery operator has also expressed his opinion about integrating Sazka to GLMS, stating that the unique global alliance of lotteries safeguards the credibility of sports, and is completely in line with Sazka’s integrity mission and values. Chvatal said:
“We look forward to contributing to and benefiting from the intelligence work of GLMS as well as all its sports integrity services.”
At the beginning of December, the lottery operator signed a supply agreement with SBTech, announcing full integration of sports betting products with incorporated gambling protocols, player safety and enhanced security.
Andrew Cochrane, chief commercial officer at the betting and gaming service provider with offices across Europe, commented the following:
“We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with one of Europe’s leading lottery groups. Sazka has achieved remarkable growth by embracing innovation, while also maintaining the highest standards of player safety and corporate and social responsibility.
We have high expectations for the growth of the regulated Czech market and are committed to long-term shared success in this exciting territory.”
Widening Associate Membership
Apart from strengthening its global monitoring system by adding Scientific Games in September as an associate member, the GLMS introduced Intralot as second lottery supplier at the end of December 2018. This agreement has recognized the importance of sports betting technology, according to Nikos Nikolakopoulos, Intralot Group chief commercial officer. He also added:
“We are delighted to join GLMS and we look forward to getting involved and taking pride in contributing to the further growth and success of GLMS and the safeguarding of integrity in sports through such institutional initiatives.”
Czech lottery operator Sazka launched an online platform in March 2017.

Every lottery should become a member of this organization, I’m pretty certain that lottery frauds and rigged jackpots keep some economies going or at least retirement funds…
