Back Circa Resort & Casino Set For 2020 Vegas Debut

The construction of Circa Resort & Casino – Las Vegas’ upcoming up-scale gambling property – is going to begin in February and will herald the coming of the city's first from-the-ground-up resorts in several decades - since 1980, to be exact!

The 1.25 million-square-foot venue will be located in the very downtown of Sin City and, although the price of the project has not yet been revealed, it is known that it is due to open in December 2020.

This venture is an undertaking of the Detroit-born, Stevens brothers – Derek and Greg – who have unveiled the looks and other detail of their project at the downtown Las Vegas Event Center on January 10th.

Tallest Structure of the North

Circa Resort & Casino will be Stevens brothers' third casino property in Fremont Street Experience area...

...with this particular one located at 18 Freemont Street. The main allure of the up-coming venue will be its sportsbook (the biggest in Vegas, “with the biggest screen in sportsbook history,” according to them) and a hotel packed with suites and 777 rooms in total. The other two venues they own are The D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel and Casino.

The two of them also owned Glitter Gulch, strip club Mermaids and La Bayou (a former casino) – all Freemont Street Experience attractions as well. This area of the city will be leveled in order to make space for Circa Casino.

With 400 floors in height, the integrated property will be the tallest hotel structure in Vegas' northern part of the Strip.

Even More Amenities

Purportedly, the venue will also feature “the longest outdoor bar” in this particular part of Vegas, five restaurants and a two-level casino with multiple entries. There is also talk of the “sub-level steakhouse restaurant.”

A special feature of this property will be the 1201-space parking garage that has been dubbed, Garage Mahal, for its sheer size and majesty. The design of the resort is commissioned to Steelman Partners who will accentuate its sweeping silhouette with a backlit roofline, an amphitheater with six pools that will have a view of 125-foot high-res screen for events and sports watch parties.

The general contractor for this property is McCarthy Building Companies Inc., the same team that is working on the construction of the new Las Vegas Raiders Stadium.

Every Sports Enthusiast's Dream

Regarding the three-story sportsbook, Derek Stevens comments:

“I still remember the very first day I walked into the Caesars Palace sports book and I had that wow moment in my mind.”

He added: “Then, when I walked into the Las Vegas Hilton (now the Westgate) in 1986 and saw their Superbook … another wow moment. I think what we’re trying to create that scenario where anyone who’s a sports fan is going to want to come over and check this out.”

The Stevens brothers have also entered the collaboration granting them 10% of Vegas Stats and Information Network stakes ownership. This partnership will bring in-house broadcast studio to Circa Casino and will make it possible for punters to get an in-depth analysis from a team of experts.
