Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino

The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino has seen many changes in its storied history, this resort, which contains 95,000 square feet of gambling space, opened in 1969 as the International Hotel. It was sold to Hilton Hotels in 1970 and spent its longest run as Las Vegas Hilton, after which it briefly became LVH Hotel & Casino and acquired its current moniker in July of 2014. The resort is located slightly off the Strip but convenient to it for walking and also houses a Las Vegas Monorail Station which makes for convenient Strip Transportation. This property is also next to the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition to the hotel, gaming and proximity to the convention center, this property features a top-of-the-line spa that is open daily from 6:00a-8:00p and has a wide variety of services including massage, facials and excellent bargain packages. The property also features seven retail establishments including such locations as Sugar Me and Bling by Bogatti.

Gaming

The Westgate features the newest and most exciting in slots, video poker and video keno machines in a range of denominations including Megabucks, Fireball Frenzy and Wheel of Fortune. The casino also features ten Video Poker games that pay in excess of 99% with the three most liberal games being a 100.15% Loose Deuces Wild machine with 21 units in the $0.25 denomination, a 99.92% returning Joker Wild-Two Pair located on the same units as the Loose Deuces and a Not So Ugly Ducks Deuces Wild 44 machine returning 99.73%. There are even three games that pay over 99% available in denominations as high as $50! This casino is an ideal destination for the Video Poker enthusiast and features some of the best machines available near the Strip! There is a dazzling assortment of Table Games available including a high-limit room that is open Friday-Sunday. The dealers are all top-notch and terrifically friendly and competent and the games include Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Roulette, Three Card Poker, Fortune Pai Gow Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Casino War and Big Six. The Poker Room is an excellent value for the poker enthusiast featuring five tables as well as complimentary beverage and massage service, there are few casinos that treat poker players so well! The casino not only features a sports book, it features the SuperBook, which, at 30,000 square feet of space, is the largest sports book in the entire world. In addition to the 350 seats, twenty-eight monitors and fifteen x twenty FOOT big screen TV, this casino also features The Ultimate Fan Cave where games can be enjoyed in this non-smoking venue on 120-inch HDTV's!!! Let there be no doubt about it, overall, this is one of the premiere destinations in Las Vegas for players of all kinds!

Hotel/Accommodations

The Westgate features 2,956 rooms and over 300 suites of varying prices and amenities. The Classic Room features a coffee-maker, one King or Two Double beds and a 37 inch LCD HDTV, for a slightly higher price, this room is also available with a view of The Strip. Superior Rooms also face the Strip and are slightly larger. The Grand Room features views of the Las Vegas Strip, or the golf course, and is 1.5 times the size of the Classic Room. In addition to all the amenities of the classic room, these rooms also have a refrigerator. The Premium Rooms are similar to the Grand Rooms, in that they have a refrigerator and the views, but they are slightly smaller. The Resorts Club room is another 400 square foot room, but comes with some of the amenities of a suite. Guests of this room will enjoy plush spa robes as well as access to the Resorts Club Lounge with complimentary power breakfasts, snacks and occasionally wine and cheese tastings. The Junior Suite is 750 square-feet and features a TV in the parlor as well as the bedroom. The Central Tower One Bedroom Suite features all of the above amenities as well as a wet bar and 975 square feet. The North Tower One Suite features 1,125 square feet, a combination of all the other aforementioned amenities, a work desk and in-room safe. The Napa Suites, modeled after wine country, feature marble and tile adorning as well as hardwood furniture. Otherwise, these offer all of the amenities of the suites listed above and 1,500 square feet of space. There are also a few other suites available with different aesthetic properties, but otherwise the same amenities.

Dining

As one would expect, this resort features no shortage of dining choices in a wide variety of styles: Benihana: This is an elegantly adorned Japanese exhibition establishment where unbelievably skilled chefs hand prepare food in full view of the guest on Hibachi tables. Enjoy a meal as one would in an oriental paradise surrounded by ponds and lush gardens, it's a must experience for any guest of this resort. TJ's Steakhouse: This fine-dining steakhouse serves a variety of steak and seafood dishes in a comfortable, yet elegant, atmosphere. In addition to the delightful appetizers and entrees, TJ's is known for some of the best desserts to be found in Vegas. Teru Sushi: Surrounded by Japanese gardens and a koi pond, guests of this restaurant will enjoy a serene atmosphere and amazing hand-crafted sushi. The Buffet: This buffet promises to offer one of the most varied and delightful eating experiences of any in all of Vegas. Burger Bistro: As the name would imply, this restaurant is guaranteed to delight burger enthusiasts with six different meats (or kosher vegetarian) to choose from as well as a dazzling and unique array of sauces and toppings. 888 Noodle Bar: Another open-exhibition eatery, this venue provides Asian favorites made right in front of the guest. Paradise Café: This is a comfortable and pleasant eatery featuring American food staples. Fortuna: This is a combination coffee and wine house that serves Starbucks and has been known to have daily wine tastings. This café style venue offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere as well as large HDTV's for guests to catch up on news and world events. Superbook Deli: As the name would imply, this is located in the sports book and serves a varied array of New York deli style sandwiches. Pizza Hut Express: This is America's second largest pizza chain with locations all around the country. Perk Place: For those who prefer Seattle's Best to Starbucks, this is the café for you! The Ice Cream Shoppe: This location is known for ice cream and ice cream based dishes with twelve all-natural flavors from which to choose.

Entertainment/Nightlife

In addition to those located on the casino floor, this resort also features three specialty lounges: Tempo: This venue features pop music, dancing, attractive bartenders and varied special events. Plaza Bar: This is located beside TJ's Steakhouse and is very convenient to the convention facilities, as one would expect, this is a quiet, aesthetically calming and upscale bar. Cool By The Pool: This is located on the pool deck and features drinks and entertainment provided by a DJ. This resort also features a number of shows including, "The King," starring Trent Carlini, who you may recognize as winner of ABC's The Next Big Thing. There are many critics who agree that this is the best Elvis tribute show in the world. Not only does this feature the expected Elvis hits, but it is formatted in such a way as to tell the story of Elvis' legendary career.
