Caesars Entertainment, Inc. has just unveiled its deal to obtain powerful WynnBET’s Michigan iGaming operation. It will be followed by expansion of their presence while also providing access to the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, after regulatory approvals.

Following the new deal, Caesars gets access to the Sault Tribe’s iGaming skins, allowing Caesars to run different digital brands in Michigan, and current WynnBET users will be transferred to Caesars’ Michigan iGaming platform, also after getting necessary approval. Wynn and Caesars will get non-cash consideration, involving extinguishment, reductions, and appropriate contractual obligations connected to businesses of both parties.

WynnBET’s supplies Caesars with one-of-a-kind chance to extend into one of the most promising markets in America whilst moving on with regular cooperation with both Caesars Sportsbook and Caesars Palace Online Casino. The company also looks to move the WynnBET iCasino operations in Michigan during this year while becoming part of one of the main brands in the Caesars catalog. In the meantime, the company will look for a smooth way for completing all these steps while providing exceptional player experience for all users.

Commenting on the latest acquisition, Matt Sunderland, SVP & Chief iGaming Officer for Caesars mentioned:

“As we continue to grow our iGaming franchise, the assumption of WynnBET’s iGaming operations in Michigan allows us to tap into a significant market and customer base, providing a crucial step forward in growing our digital products and offering players more ways to play. We are honored to work with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and look forward to growing with them in Michigan.”

At the moment, Sault Tribe holds and runs Kewadin Casinos, which includes five land-based casinos scattered across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

What Was Stated

Commenting on the latest deal, Austin Lowes, Chairman of Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians said:

“It was paramount that our next partner in iGaming possessed both expertise in the U.S. iGaming market and a history of strong partnerships in Indian country. We believe we found that with Caesars and look forward to being part of their new iCasino offering”.
