Play’n GO has launched a new platform for Danske Spil’s new online casino at vegas.dk in its first agreement with an operator controlled by the state and WLA-member.
Danske Spil launched its online casino to boost its presence in the Danish market and target new groups, which it says it can’t do with its existing casino.
The State lottery intends to separate itself from the 30 other casino license holders in Denmark by appealing to casual players.
The Play’n Go platform, based on its “GAT” (Game Account Toolkit), offers an “Achievement engine”.
Vegas.dk specializes in achievements and rewards rather than bonuses and common loyalty programs according to Søren Schneider, head of games at Danske Licens Spil.
“We think we can create a unique and strong position in the market with this platform and give more value and entertainment to the players than our competitors are capable of,” Schneider said.

I have noticed lately when reading these news articles that state lotteries are involved with many of the online casinos in their particular areas. In the USA , that is definitely not the case as I have seen it. Most casinos, in states that allow gambling, have an added online site owned by that particular casino which is either publicly or privately owned. The states have their own lotteries which they do exclusively run and the proceeds go toward education in that particular state. With all of that said, I wonder if this is going to be another trend and if it is, I would hate to see the state lotteries get involved in any of the existing or upcoming online casino. Just saying.........
