Online gambling legalization bill may have stalled Thursday, yet on tracks.
Sen. Ray Lesniak, known for the bill aimed at legalizing intrastate online gambling in New Jersey, is confident that it will eventually pass despite its Thursday delay in the state legislature. He is also optimistic it will still be possible to gear the administration up in time to start licensing operators by September 2012.
Sen. Lesniak brought out that the bill was delayed until Wednesday from Governor Chris Christie's office, because of amendments to licensing technicalities, therefore leaving insufficient time to push the bill through the Assembly this week due to state budget deliberations.
Now he has got a revised plan to get the bill out of committee and through both houses before mid-April - directly onto the governor's desk.
New Jersey Legalization Still Possible By September 2012
