Police arrests 62 people
Following the information about illegal online gambling operations, this week the Malaysian police raided four different locations around Medan Idaman, Mile 5, Jalan Gombak in Kuala Lampur. In the raids, 62 men aged 23 to 56 were arrested.
The staff office at Kuala Lumpur police anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division, Razali Abu Samah, stated that 57 of the arrested men were caught in the act and the rest of them were located in the raided premises.
He added that the police also confiscated 85 computerized gambling machines and RM1,163 in cash. "We have raided these gambling premises on several occasions but they keep on with this activity," he said.
