Eight arrested in police action
The Singapore police have reported the arrest of eight men for offences under the Common Gaming House Act following a joint operation that involved the Bedok police and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority.
ChannelNewsAsia reports that the men were aged between 34 and 57, and that the arrests were made during a raid on a shophouse unit, where the ring is alleged to have been operating an online gambling facility.
Cash and computer and gambling equipment was seized.
