The obvious question is, what does Triple Flame stand for? If you’d guess it has something to do with special features, you would be right, with the flames substituting for other symbols, helping you create more winning combinations. That’s not all though, as you’ll notice when the re-spins come into play.
As with most slots with such names, this one too is quite a traditional slot. The specials mentioned above make it a bit more complicated though, giving you a chance to collect even bigger wins.
Theme and Symbols
Heating up some excitement is on the agenda here, but the theme itself remains quite simple and true to the classics of the genre. There aren’t many animations to speak of, and the symbols are really the basic cast that has been found from slots since they were first invented. Sound effects and music are a step up, though they too are somewhat predictable. This monotone setting is broken up by the flames, and rightfully so.
Betting Options and Functions
You can choose to play with either 5 or 10 paylines. The big surprise is that the lines work both ways, so that you can combine symbols into combinations from both the left and from the rightmost reel.
The game is playable on all devices, but is probably aimed more at the desktop markets. The style doesn’t really suffer from small screen sizes though.
The RTP is pretty much normal, at 96%, whereas variance seems to be between medium and high. Big wins are a possibility as all of the five symbols combinations pay out quite sizeable prizes...and of course, do some from both ways.
Features
The flame wild, when it shows up on the reels, first expands to cover the entire reel. All three symbols are then held in place, as the remaining reels are spun again. If another flame wild lands on the reels, it too will expand across another reel, and reward the player with another respin, with all wilds held in place.
...it is possible to fill the reels this way, but in effect even scoring three middle reels full of wilds is enough to score wins through all 10 paylines, both ways.
Our Take
Reel Time Gaming has gone for simplicity in this slot, and it has not come at the cost of anything else. In fact, it seems to be quite a good tradeoff, considering how well this game plays out. Compared to other slots by this company, the style is much the same, but the wins seem to be somewhat higher than normal. Give it a try.
