Spanish Blackjack offers an interesting twist on the regular game of blackjack. On this version you’ll play with decks of 48 cards, instead of 52, because all the 10 cards have been removed. There’s also an option to surrender your initial wager after doubling up, so all is not lost if you end up taking a dodgy hand.
How to play Spanish Blackjack
The spanish blackjack table looks very similar to other blackjack games and bets are placed in a similar way too. First you’ll need to click on a chip and place it on the table (you can use more than one chip if you want). Then place this bet using the deal button, which gives you two cards per hand.
If you gain a natural Blackjack and beat the dealer you'll immediately receive a 3:2 payout. If not you'll have to play by taking a 'hit' for a new card or stand to hold your cards. If you receive and take the option to double your wager you may end up with a poor hand. At this stage you can hit to take another card or surrender. If you choose the later you’ll only lose the ‘double’ portion of your wager whilst your initial one is returned to you.
If you follow play to the end without surrendering the dealer then shows and plays their hand. You'll take home the spoils by gaining a hand closer to 21 than the dealer without going over.
