Penguin Playground is one of a new generation of slots from CGTV. It includes five different features and features a cast of interesting penguins which range from the funny to the cute or quirky.

Penguin Playground Theme

Design wise, Penguin Playground, is like no other CGTV video slot because it is bespoke in appearance in almost every way. The reels taper in and the icons themselves are circular to mimic ice cubes in an icy seascape. The line markers are circular like snowballs, although colorful in design which reminds of tasty scoops of ice-cream.

The screen also includes counters for the ice slides and herring hop bonus rounds either side of the simple logo. Beneath this you will find information on the major, minor and mini progressive jackpots which we’ll talk more about later.

As you’d expect all of the reel icons are penguin’s with each one performing a different activity or task. Our favorite has to be the baby penguin, not particularly related to his activity (he’s just sat there) but down to the fact he looks cute. A close second has to go to the posh penguin who looks dapper in his top hat and monocle.

Penguin Playground Slot Features

Every sliding penguin icon will award one step towards the bonus round. Once you have collected four the bonus round begins. This takes place on a second screen where you collect gems by navigating forward, left or right along a 3D ice course. Your penguin slides along on its belly collecting diamonds which award multipliers at the end of the round. It’s a great deal of fun and tends to pay well too.

The herring hop bonus game is awarded once four herring icons have been collected. Like the ice slide game it too takes place on a second screen. During this game you choose fishing holes for Pettey the penguin to dive into. If her emerges with a fish you win a prize and get to pick again, but if a walrus appears the round ends.

The baby penguin not only looks cute but is wild too. It can substitute for any other penguin excluding the snowball wielding penguin.

Multiplier wins are awarded when the penguin pearl icon appears in one of three combinations on the reels (cross, diamond or square). This awards 100x, 25x or 20x your bet respectively.
