When it comes to playing slots the truth is that we are all looking for that one spin that will land us a lucky fortune. The title of the game should, therefore, be quite self-explanatory. The look, theme and feel of the game are a bit different though, as most of the inspiration seems to come from Asia. GamingSoft itself being an Asian gambling company this should not come as a surprise.

Theme

The music, especially when you win big, is quite pompous. Most of the time the sounds are quite light and fitting though, with the source of the tunes clearly borrowed from Chinese legends. The screen reveals a city of a sort, with the reels covering most of it. The symbols combine some of the classics, like the playing card ranks, with historical symbols from what I assume are Chinese sources. The overall theme feels a bit cartoonish, which doesn’t mean it doesn’t work well.

Betting Options and Functions

The setup is quite similar to other games from this publisher. If you’ve played titles like Guardians of Flower you are pretty much set for the experience. If not, fear not as all you really need to know is how to set your bet and press the spin button.

The game offers nine fixed paylines travelling through the five reel setup, with wins calculated from both directions. Each reel has three positions for symbols and ten different symbols not counting the special ones. The variance is high, but so are the wins. With the minimum bet in place, you can win anything between 0.45 and 555 times your total bet.

Features

Three, four or five scatters are needed to launch the free spins. You will receive 8, 12 or 15 depending on the amount of scatters. During the free spins, the wilds will add some extra functionality, by expanding to cover the whole of reels 2 and 4. With the both-way payouts, this adds quite a few wins to the lines.

The other major feature, also present in most other GamingSoft titles, are the jackpots. These come in four sizes, ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands. The pots are progressive, so they can grow considerably bigger as well. Three jackpot symbols trigger the feature, with a minigame allowing you to pick among different choices. Do notice though that the payouts from the jackpots are capped by your bet level.

Our Take

The title is not all that different from other slots by the same developer. Features, spins, volatility and so on can be experienced in similar games. The jackpots are a nice addition, but given that they are tied to the bet level it’s probably better to just play normal jackpot games with bigger wins. If you find the theme intriguing you might want to try the game, though we still suggest demo mode first.
