Who doesn’t like to party? Each and every one of us has at least once in their life had a wild time in a disco club, partying ‘till dawn and checking out cute guys/girls. Having that in mind, Sheriff has decided to dedicate one of its 3D releases precisely to this theme, so its “Funky Chicken” slot involves a lot of fun time and checking out. And a handsome dude, of course.

The title of the game hints what it’s all about. This 5-reel, 20-payline 3D slot tells a story of the coolest guy in town – The Fox, who goes out to chase some funky chicks. He finds them in a posh nightclub, of course, and they all hopelessly fall for him. The chicken characters involve a posh chick, a punk chick, a hippie chick, techno chick and many others, but apart from them, the reels also feature Fox’s briefcase filled with money, which the chicks find extremely attractive. The reels are kept safe by a big chicken bouncer, who comments on your play the whole time. In addition, “Funky Chicken” introduces a number of special features, including two scatters, an expanding wild, free spins and a bonus round with some cool instant prizes.

As for the money part, the prizes you can get here are neither too generous, nor too stingy – somewhere in the middle. But before you start competing for those, you need to select the bet amount you feel comfortable with. And the choice is quite good, with coin denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5, the possibility to place up to 5 coins per payline, and to choose the number of lines to play on. It is good, however, to keep in mind that a maximum number of lines maximizes winning odds, especially in the above mentioned bonus round.

Special Features:

The numerous special features certainly add to the overall impression about “Funky Chicken”. First of all, there’s the wild ant symbol, which expands when it appears and has an opportunity to form a winner, occupying the entire reel. Then, there’s the Fox fan chick, which serves as an ordinary scatter, whose prizes are multiplied with the number of active win lines whenever three or more of them appear anywhere on the reels. Another great feature comes in shape of Fox statues, three, four or five of which anywhere will bring you 4, 8, or 12 free spins. Unfortunately, the free spins come without a multiplier which we are so used to, so this makes the prizes won in the feature lower than one would expect. As for the bonus round, it is probably the most interesting part of the game. There, Mr. Fox is on a mission of choosing the best chicks, all of which hide something. Your goal is to select the chicks that so not hold a “collect” sign, which ends the bonus round. The more good picks you make, the bigger your bonus prize will be. All the prizes will be multiplied by the number of active win lines, so it’s good to keep them on the maximum.

The general impression left by “Funky Chicken” is that it’s a solid, recommendable game, but not the best one you can find in Sheriff Gaming’s 3D series. Its characters, although done in superb graphics, still lack a bit of personality and natural movement, and their voices need more spirit, wit and liveliness. Yet, it’s a game that attracts attention, and it’s definitely worth giving a shot.
