The D - Formerly Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel

The D was formerly Fitzgerald’s and features a 42,000 sq. ft. casino and a hotel with over 600 rooms in the downtown Las Vegas area. The D is situated on Fremont Street with several restaurants and amenities including a pool. The D has remodeled giving the decor a more modern feel and replacing the former Fitzgerald’s design that was set to be completed in October 2012. This is a brand new experience.

Gaming

The casino delivers in terms of a vintage Vegas experience. The casino is located on the second floor of the building and offers a variety of Slots, Video Poker and Table Games including Blackjack, Dice, Roulette, 3 Card Poker, Let it Rode, Hold’em Fold’em, Fortune Paid Gow, Pai Gow Mania and Texas Hold’em. Keno is offered daily with tournaments occurring several times throughout the year. The casino also features William Hill Sportsbook with some of the best odds around. The D is now featuring Dancing Dealers. These are female dancers that are there to entertain you as you enjoy the table games. This gives new meaning to table dancer.

Hotel/Accommodations

The hotel is quite large with 34 stories and 638 rooms. All rooms have modern decor and include in-room safe and high speed internet for a daily fee. Amenities available are 24-hour front desk, pool, dry cleaning, banquet room and staff on hand that speak a variety of languages. A convenient Enterprise Rent-a-Car is also available near the front desk. Hotel reservations can easily be booked online.

Dining

Dining options include American Coney Island. Those from the Detroit area may be familiar with iconic restaurant. They are now located in Las Vegas inside The D and next to the D Bar. They are open 24/7. There is also a McDonald’s on the property. As renovations continue additional restaurants will be added.

Entertainment/Nightlife

The D gives guests options when it comes to getting a cocktail in your hand. There are three bars currently located this casino including Longbar, Vue Bar and The D Bar. In terms of entertainment, The D Showroom features a variety of shows from comedy to murder mystery and concerts with some big names.

The D Club Card is free. The Club D Silver and Club D Black cards give players a range of benefits as they accumulate points while playing the casino games. Benefits include comps toward dining, shows and rooms, exclusive invitations to events, free valet parking, check cashing privileges and more.
