If you opt to step off the resort, look for La Ribera Restaurant with its breakfast buffets, a la carte lunches and themed dinners. International fare is dished up in Andrea Restaurant, and Mexican cuisine can be found in Emiliano Restaurant.

Attractions/NightLife

It wouldn’t be a Puerto Vallartan holiday if you didn’t the beaches. Ones to try include Playa Camarones (Shrimp Beach), Playa Boca de Tomates (Mouth of Tomatoes), though keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles, Playa Los Muertos (Beach of the Dead), Playa Conchas Chinas (Chinese Shells Beach) and Playa Olas Atlas (High Waves Beach), where you can find several restaurants. Places to also visit during your days include Pulpito and Pilitas (with its rock formations), Plaza de Armas (the main square), City Hall, the Cuale Archaeological Museum, and the Marieta Islands, about 30 minutes out by boat, with its sea birds and sea life – look for dolphins, fish and humpback whales. For flora and fauna there’s the Los Arcos Marine Natural Area (with boobies and pelicans), the Puerta Vallarta Zoological Gardens (with over 350 animals) and the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Back at the resort, enjoy drinks poolside and relax your afternoons away. When the sun sets, hit La Regadera, for dancing and karaoke,Garbo Piano Bar and Grill for cocktails or the La Ingrata Mexican Pub for drinks.
